Is this an error?
@dustsweeper sent me a message that my account is less than $0.30. After sending $1 SBD to renew I got this message back in my wallet ledger.
$2.0 of upvote value has been added to @dustsweeper. Current balance is: $2.282 of upvotes.
Unless you are giving away two-for-one deals, I am curious what happened. Is the message wrong, or is account doubled, are these both an error, or is $1 SBD really worth $2 of dust votes?
No, that is correct.
When we started Dusty the price of STEEM and SBD were both around $3USD. At that point, an upvote worth $2 returned 1 SBD in profit. That's why we picked 2-for-1 for all transfers. As the price dropped, we have now a dynamic model where the amount subtracted from your balance is reflecting current market prices.
