Desktop eSteem Surfer 2.0.4 brings 😎 emojis, Power Up & more

It's not a joke! Fresh Surfer 2.0.4 build is ready to download! What is it? It's a Steem Desktop client (available for Windows, Mac and Linux) with many neat features. This time we've added quick emoji selector to editor, ability to power up your STEEM and new Scheduling UI.

Some of us really get used to emojis on mobile sharing our emotions in quick way in comments or posts. Now we can use it in desktop easily.

Power Up

Another small but handy addition is that you can power up your Steem to your Steem Power right from the Surfer Wallet page. Another reason not to use browser for that anymore 😎

New Scheduling UI

Cosmetic changes to scheduling user interface. Now you can see new beautiful calendar and time selection pop-up windows every time you are planning to schedule your post.

Self upvote

We decided to clean Surfer interface out of unnecessary options that's why we've removed self-upvote checkbox from post editor window giving you better curation rewards. Hope you will not miss that feature, guys?

What is eSteem Surfer 2

It's a desktop client you can use on Windows, Mac or Linux to surf your steem friends feed/trending/hot/etc pages, upvote, comment, read replies, do all the other major Steem functionality in your daily social surfing as well as wallet actions and of course few extras: search, discover different tags, bookmarks, drafts, favorite authors, scheduling posts, etc.

This is an amazing update! 2019 seems to be a BANG year for the esteem project. You guys are doing a great job, considering the latest update on the mobile app, and this one.
I'm one of the lazy guys that like to have every word as an emoji, and I am glad that this feature is added to the new surfer build. The improvements in this build will certainly make the app to be more friendly. I will download in a jiffy. Thanks for providing this information.

I dont understand why a new application needs to be downloaded to get the above features. Can this not be done by default in the steemit website which works on all major browsers? Chrome firefox brave etc...

Because eSteem is not part of Steemit Inc. It's different company. But anyway web version is also planned...
