This woman was considered to be a mother with a great kind heart. She was a star of mass-media and TV-shows. She was an example for society. She was a mom of 15 kids, and she was a hero of the state.
Now she is in prison. She is blamed in kidnapping.
But is she really a criminal?

it happened in Moscow, that's why the noise about this situation became as loud as it could be.
A person with a big heart, Natalya Patoka, dissuaded women who were seeking abortions from killing their children, and then kept the babies for herself.
Patoka was supposed to transfer abandoned children to orphanages. But Natalya took a different path - simple, but, alas, illegal: she took the newborns for herself, passing them off as her own, born as a result of home births.

It sound like a crime. Officials say so.
But in fact it was a big, nice, friendly family where kids were really loved! They have a nice big house, and all kids say warm words of love about their mother (Natalia).

But now she is prisoned... She is in prison for 6 months already, while the court won't take final decision.
“The investigation charged the woman with the terrible article of the Criminal Code “kidnapping and other transactions with kids”. But she did not have any financial benefit! And as it was written in the resolution: “she was guided by the motive of compassion”.
Natalia is definitely wrong. Noone can break the law.
But would she begin to violate it if she knew definitely that she, as a mother who sincerely loves her children, would be given custody of these kids?
Probably not.
Natalia would come to CPS and say that she communicated with this woman during pregnancy, that this woman agreed to give birth, understanding that it was Natalya who would take her child.
However, Natalia understood perfectly well that as soon as the newborn entered the system, she would never get it legally...
That's why I came into conflict with the law.
Many people try to help the woman and save her from this trouble.
It will be salvation not only for her, but for those 15 kids who have lost their chance to be brought up in a family with loving Mom.
Natalia is a loving and concerned woman who has a genuine love for these kids. I truly hope that the law will give her a chance to come out of prison and be with her kids.
