"The ultimate self-absorption of our age...is the self-hatred of our age. The belief that nothing we say or do can help but screw things up even more."

"The reason is not because there is something fundamentally wrong with humans."

"It's in the nature of being human to forget HOW to BE human."

"It's in the nature of being human to not be...born human."

"Humans are not born...they are made."

"Every culture worthy of the word "culture"...has always practiced human 'making'."

~Stephen Jenkinson, School of Orphan Wisdom

Indigenous/tribal/ancient human beings faced the same core dilemmas we do today. yet for the most part they didn’t experience this self-hatred (or hatred towards our Earth Family).

They found a way, an understanding of being human that included that temporary amnesia around being one. And so they incorporated rituals, rites of passage, that taught their people HOW to be human again.

How to play out our ecological function to fulfill our role as care-takers of the land and soil...within this larger super-organism.

How to play out our role in healing each other, through our unique gifts such as music, art, dance, comedy, service, herbal medicines, touch and love.

Many of us are far displaced from our ancestors. We don't even know where to begin to connect with ancestral wisdom. Sadly, pop culture and the news, is what many of us rely on for the source of "truth."

In indigenous tribes, there are often designated members...elders, shaman, spirit-walkers, wisdom keepers, and medicine folk...who have devoted their lives to observation of Nature, communion with Spirit, story-telling and co-creating a collective memory of what it means to be human.

Oral traditions form the foundation of Aboriginal societies, connecting speaker and listener in communal experience and uniting past and present in memory.

They engage in practices that bring awareness to the interconnectedness of all of creation and help us to remember our unwavering connection to source.

Our generation is suffering from collective amnesia…disconnected from ancestral wisdom and rites of passage.

How do we begin to recover this?

Here’s one way I’ve personally found this ancient wisdom…within me…

There is a library contained in our cells...it's called DNA. It is a largely unopened wellspring of wisdom passed on from generation to generation.

Furthermore…we have more bacterial DNA than human DNA…a built-in mega-library…full of information to guide us how to be human again.

Bacteria literally ARE our ancestors! And I personally believe they constitute a major part of what we refer to as our “soul”…that which animates all of life on earth…what science is finally catching up to.

This is why I employ practices such as intermittent fasting, nature immersion, soil-bathing, communion with teacher plants, primal movement and inner/outer terrain modification.

All of these practices...when combined...have the potential to reset our microbiome to its "original factory settings" so to speak.

The "ancient microbes" who have millions of years of genetic wisdom passed from generation to generation, can finally be heard without having to process all the food (and stimuli) coming in. We can hear the whispers of our ancestors...and truly LISTEN to our guts.

I've written more about fasting and our ancestors here in this article…

“How the Soil Became our Soul”
https://steemit.com/fasting/@thegiftofself/how-the-soil-became-our-soul-fasting-spirituality-and-the-ancestors

Additionally, we can start to hear the wisdom from our own DNA as we activate our pineal gland to revive instructions for our individual and collective soul's purpose from the cosmos reflected by our universe within.

When our temple/mind is has less input to process we can hear the teacher plants speak more clearly as well. They too have ancient stories of wisdom to tell from their own library of DNA. And they have more genes than we do, showcasing their higher "degree" and faster speed of evolution, and their unique abilities to survive.

We are at a tipping point. We have the wisdom within to shift the collective consciousness in a major way...from being less parasitic to more symbiotic...from being less opportunistic to more co-creative.

If these practices can shift one person, remind one person what its like to live in harmony, interconnectedness, and reciprocity with Nature...then it can shift the whole. I see it happening. Let's make this movement MOVE y'all!!!!

This is how we return to our birthright of being human again.

This is how we heal ourselves and take back our power to be our own medicine-makers, gurus and shamans.

Our initiation into this path is the pain, separation, suffering, illness, despair!!! Allow these things to strip away everything that is unnecessary for the journey to wholeness!!!

Join me on this path of soul retrieval!!! I love to hear your stories, your wisdom...I am because we are!!!

Loving all of you,

❤️Pachee
