So, what happens if England fall to Germany at the Women Euros final on Sunday?
I could still remember the disappointment that trailed the aftermath of The Three Lions penalty loss to the Italians at last year's Euros. Three black players missed their penalties and they were racially abused to no end for squandering a golden opportunity. Thankfully, this England team rarely feature black players so one to blame this time around.
One of the problems with English football is the incessant media hype around their players and teams. It takes them to the highest of heavens, but whenever the teams fail the crash is always loud and heavy. Come Sunday, I will watch the game as a neutral. May the best team wins.
