I love this so much I don't know how to contain myself. $1.8B of PRIVATE MONEY flows into a fusion startup. This is how solutions are made. The public sector is almost incapable of achieving good results in these types of projects - while private investment is far superior. The choices in tech and portfolio company are better, the money is spent more efficiently, and the money is held to better account. Plus, it's the private sector....so results are expected. Author Bjorn Lomborg talks about a better, smarter way to deal with climate change, and this is basically it. Restricting oil and gas isn't going to accomplish much, other than to drive up costs to consumers, create poverty, and make people resentful of the climate radicals.
