The secret of Gnosis: ´You are Israel's teacher,´ said Jesus, ´and do you not understand these things?´

The Gospel of John is not a Synoptic Gospel; John, the apostle most loved by Jesus, shows us in a completely original way the teachings of his teacher. The gospel of the apostle John is a gospel especially dedicated to the study of the deepest mysteries of the doctrine of the Kingdom of Heaven, the study of Gnosis and the eternal life. In a metaphorical manner, our Lord Jesus taught Nicodemus, a doctor of the law, the secret of Gnosis, in a mysterious nocturnal encounter: "Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night" John 3:1-2.
This doctor of the law did not understand what Jesus tried to explain to him, Jesus spoke to him about the birth in the water and the spirit, the birth that gives us the vision of God: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" Matthew 5:8.
Nicodemus was clearly a natural man, that is, a man attached to the things of the world, and Jesus spoke to him about spiritual matters and about God; the dialogue between these two people was a dialogue between the mundane and the spiritual.
In this dialogue, a teaching of the Old Testament was realized: "They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear" Ezekiel 12:2. That is why when Jesus spoke to him about the necessity of seeing the Kingdom of God to reach integrity or completeness, Nicodemus asked him in carnal terms: "´How can someone be born when they are old?´ Nicodemus asked. ´Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born!´" John 3:4.
After this, Jesus tried to explain to Nicodemus the need for God's grace to enter into the spiritual mysteries, the law of Moses is not enough: "´You are Israel's teacher,´ said Jesus, ´and do you not understand these things?´" John 3:10. In the Christian faith through Gnosis we receive the love of God, the love projected to the whole creation of God. Gnosis can be explained in words, but fundamentally it has to be experienced to understand its spiritual depth.
