Es difícil escoger entre las artes la que más me motiva, pues, todas las manifestaciones tienen sus peculiaridades, pero, el teatro para niños específicamente, me hace viajar en el tiempo, llevándome a esa zona del recuerdo dónde soy feliz. Y resulta un poco raro porque en realidad, nunca me llevaron al teatro a ver funciones para niños, ni tuve cercanía con las artes en general, ni tuve títeres para jugar. Pero, es como la añoranza de algo que nunca estuvo pero que igual me da nostalgia.
It is difficult to choose among the arts the one that motivates me the most, since all manifestations have their peculiarities, but theater for children specifically, makes me travel in time, taking me to that area of memory where I am happy. And it's a bit strange because in reality, since I was never taken to the theater to see performances for children, nor was I close to the arts in general, nor did I have puppets to play with. But, it's like the longing for something that never was but that still makes me nostalgic.
Recientemente terminó en mi ciudad el Festival de Teatro "Máscaras de Caoba" y fue una excelente oportunidad para seguir acercando a mi hijo a esta manifestación artísitica tan genuina, capaz de hacernos dialogar tan de cerca con la creación.
The "Mahogany Mask" Theater Festival recently ended in my city and it was an excellent opportunity to continue bringing my son closer to this very genuine artistic manifestation, capable of making us dialogue so closely with creation.
Fortuitamente, varias fueron las funciones para niños puestas durante el Festival en el Teatro Guiñol de mi hermosa ciudad Santiago de Cuba. Aproveché entonces para compartir junto a mi pequeño una propuesta diferente a las habituales y una de esas tardes nos fuimos a disfrutar de "Los Pecermanitos", una historia fabulosa, llena de moralejas que inculcan valores como la humildad y las buenas prácticas en torno a la naturaleza, también trata sobre la amistad, la confianza y el juicio de saber ser precavidos ante los peligros.
Fortuitously, there were several performances for children put on during the Festival at the Guiñol Theater in my beautiful city Santiago de Cuba. I then took the opportunity to share with my little one a different proposal from the usual ones and one of those afternoons we went to enjoy "Los Pecermanitos", a fabulous story, full of morals that instill values such as humility and good practices around nature, it is also about friendship, trust and the judgment of knowing how to be cautious in the face of dangers.
Yo estuve realmente fascinada durante la función. Reía como si volviese a tener ocho años y todo aquel espectáculo estuviese haciéndome explotar por dentro. Hubo contrastes de técnicas teatrales: se trabajó con claroscuro, tanto títeres como personajes reales, perecibí un buen manejo del discurso, coherencia y respeto por el público, sobre todo eso, pues, pese a que se trata de una obra para niños, jamás se debe subestimar al espectador.
I was really fascinated during the performance. I laughed as if I were eight years old again and the whole spectacle was making me explode inside. There were contrasts in theatrical techniques: they worked with chiaroscuro, both titles and real characters, I perceived good management of discourse, coherence and respect for the audience, above all that, well, despite the fact that it is a play for children, The viewer should never be underestimated.
Las personas que movían los títeres vestían de azul para simbolizar el mar, y llevaban antifaz para simular sus rostros, ya que la mayor atención debía estar en los pecermanitos como protagonistas de la obra. El pescador era una gran muñeco, cuyas manos eran en realidad las del titiritero, quien a su vez en otras escenas hacía de un pez muy grande que quería comerse a los pecermanitos.
The people who moved the puppetry dressed in blue to symbolize the sea, and wore masks to simulate their faces, since the greatest attention should be on the fisherman as the protagonists of the work. The fisherman was a large doll, whose hands were actually those of the puppeteer, who in turn made scenes of a very large fish that wanted to eat the little fishes.
Ay!!!, yo tenía muchísimas ganas de compartirles estas fotos, porque, realmente fue uno de esos días mágicos, en los que disfrutas algo de forma asombrosa y solo quieres comentar al respecto. Los exorto a que lleven a sus niños al teatro y disfruten junto a ellos de la experiencia que permite estar en contacto al vivo y directo con una historia. Los títeres saben contar distinto, nadie cuenta igual a un títere, se los aseguro yo.
Oh!!!, I really wanted to share these photos with you, because it really was one of those magical days, in which you enjoy something in an amazing way and you just want to comment on it. I encourage you to take your children to the theater and enjoy with them the experience that allows you to be in direct contact with a story. Puppets know how to count differently, no one counts the same as a puppet, I assure you.

El teatro, especialmente el teatro para niños es algo muy especial...me alegra que tengan ese evento en Santiago.... Te recomiendo escribir los post de 2 idiomas usando uno primero y el otro después.... así es más fácil para los creadores me aconsejaron hace un tiempo.... espero te ayude este consejo!
