The idea is to help introverts and other shy people to befriend strangers in public places without the feeling of "being a creep" that nowadays people have when they want to say Hi to strangers.
User creates a profile with a few personal pictures, nickname, self description, interests. What topics you like to talk about, political affiliations, etc. Anything to help start a conversation.
App can use Bluetooth to detect other users nearby and communicate. Bluetooth(or local place) profile broadcast is optional though.
App uses GPS to list people from the same town or from another form of local area, like being less than 5 Km or 10 Km from user. "Town broadcast" is also optional. Precise distance should be hidden if less than a Km.
Users who are not broadcasting their profiles can still se those who are and send messages to them.
