The past six weeks have been interesting in Tennessee.
It started with the solar eclipse near Totalis in our area and was very interesting to experience.
Less than a week ago, several tornadoes hit our region; the closest one to us was an EF3 about a mile from our home.
Despite the storm's devastation, I have always been fascinated by tornados and their sheer force.
My lifelong dream is to witness a tornado in person and see it with my own eyes. However, I understand that it could possibly be the last thing I ever see, lol.
Beyond that, just a few days later we were able to see the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, from our home in Tennessee.
I have seen them before on a few occasions when I lived in northern Ohio, but never this far south.
Recently an intense geomagnetic storm hit earth after a number of dense solar flares.
The northern lights, also known as the aurora borealis, are a natural light display that occurs when charged particles from the sun interact with the Earth’s magnetic field and atmosphere. The resulting spectacle can be breathtakingly beautiful, with vibrant colors and patterns dancing across the night sky.

It was a spectacular light show for the evening and worth experiencing.
I am always amazed at the wonders of our universe and the beauty it can show.

It is surprising that with all of the devastation of the storm, there was only one life lost.
