I have classified them into three main groups: Childhood Friendships, Adolescence and Old Age Friendships.
The friendships of childhood, the ones that are created at school, in the neighborhood where we play together, that we also fight and argue in our games. We choose them because they are more akin to us. Nowadays, when we meet and we are old, I look at them with special affection. These are not forgotten because they were a healthy and selfless friendship. Today there are few left because some have died, and others are no longer close to us. But it's beautiful when we meet and remember those moments lived that are never forgotten.
Adolescent friendships. These are the ones that we created in the study stage and that we lived together in schools, those of parties, trips and confidences. This stage is very difficult to choose true friends, because thoughts, customs and education have not been the same for everyone. A stage in which you also suffer disappointment and pain when you lose someone you thought was faithful and was the opposite. Pain also when you lose a friend because he dies or because he goes away, and the latter case happens very frequently nowadays. Today, technologies have helped a lot to recover some of those that are far away and that we can see and hear, even if they are miles away, but there are also those who forget you forever.
Socrates said: Friendship rests on love and is regulated by virtue.
Friendship is a kind of love and love must be taken care of. Love is expressed in giving and receiving, it can never go one way, it's like the scales. Yo las he catalogado en tres grandes grupos: Amistades de la infancia, de la adolescencia y de la vejez.
Las amistades de la infancia, las que se crean en la escuela, en el barrio en que jugamos juntos, que también peleamos y discutimos en nuestros juegos. las escogemos porque son más afines a nosotros. Hoy en día, a estas cuando nos encontramos y ya somos viejos, las miro con un especial cariño. Estas no se olvidan porque fueron una amistad sana y desinteresada. Hoy ya van quedando pocas porque unas han muerto y otras ya no están cerca de nosotros. Pero es hermoso cuando nos encontramos y recordamos esos momentos vividos que nunca se olvidan.
Las amistades de la adolescencia. Estas son las que fuimos creando en la etapa de estudios y que convivimos en escuelas, las de fiestas, de viajes y de confidencias. Esta etapa es muy difícil para escoger verdaderos amigos, pues los pensamientos, las costumbres y la educación no han sido iguales para todos. Etapa en que también sufres desilusiones y dolor cuando pierdes a alguien que creías que era fiel y era todo lo contrario. Dolor también cuando pierdes un amigo porque muere o porque se va lejos, y este último caso sucede con mucha frecuencia hoy en día. Hoy las tecnologías han ayudado mucho a recuperar algunos de esos que están lejos y que podemos verlos y oírlos, aunque estén a kilómetros de distancia, pero también existen quienes te olvidan para siempre.
Sócrates decía: La amistad descansa en el amor y se regula por la virtud.
La amistad es una especie de amor y al amor hay que cuidarlo. El amor se expresa en dar y recibir, nunca puede irse de un solo lado, es como la balanza. Valoro mucho la amistad y siempre digo que cuando tienes un buen amigo lo tienes todo. El amigo bueno es como la familia. Amigo, es el que no traiciona, que está a tu lado, en las buenas y en las malas, al que puedes perdonar y volver a perdonar. De esos tengo y no pocos.
Las amistades de esta etapa son también las que surgen en el trabajo y estos también dejan huellas, unos se mantienen y otros van quedando en el camino. Los amigos del trabajo se crean en su mayoría de intereses y cuando el interés termina también termina la amistad en muchos de los casos. Ejemplos sobran. Y también duelen porque uno piensa que son amistades sinceras.
La vida actual ha hecho que la gente cambie y ya no se crean amistades fuertes. La fidelidad con los amigos es cosa para mí importante, tengo muchos amigos que ya datan de más de 50 años y cuando nos encontramos, nos parece que el tiempo no ha pasado. Y el recordar es volver a vivir. Ahora ya en la vejez son menos los amigos que se crean, porque estamos más concentrados en casa, en actividades más limitadas. En esta etapa es cuando nos dedicamos más a cultivar los que ya tenemos y hemos catalogado como buenos.
Hoy, por ejemplo, a través de esta plataforma comienza para mí una nueva etapa de crear nuevas amistades. Cuando ya pensaba que solo podría adquirir unas pocas, es todo lo contrario, estoy creando muchas más.
