Having a day for us and celebrate it internationally can be seen as an achievement, but the struggle for us women is an everyday one. How many struggles have women fought and are still fighting today in the world to claim their rights?
However, I did not want to ignore this date without highlighting the participation of women in Hive. And since yesterday, I thought that the best place to do this reflection is this community.
Women's struggles for their emancipation go back centuries, and only today are some results seen. Still, in many places in the world, women are discriminated against, abused, and mistreated. They do not have the same rights as men. However, we continue fighting and, little by little, occupying important spaces in society. Let's think for a moment about how many of us, through this platform, express our feelings and our experiences; we are an active part of society; we are in each and every aspect of life. We are daughters, mothers, wives, workers, and caregivers. They have to count on us for everything.
Consider the brave women who overcame obstacles to make their dreams come true, as well as those who were ignored, despite their talents. These women became astronauts, pilots, captains, scientists, writers and musicians, and fought for our right to influence politics and perform important government functions in a country. At the same time, they continued raising their children, providing them with education and training them to be good people.
It's still like that today. We make many sacrifices every day to be able to guarantee the housekeeping; that is, we leave everything done at home and then go to study or work.
When we arrive tired, we have to continue at home doing different tasks, and only later, instead of resting for a while, we choose to continue and be an important part of this platform, Hive, with our stories, reflections and interactions.
Today throughout the day, they have congratulated us from all over the world; they have entertained us with beautiful phrases, with beautiful bouquets of flowers, and with all the love and affection that women deserve. However, let us also think about those who, even today, will not know what joy is, because in their towns there are wars and they suffer for their children and because their rights are not recognized.
Congratulations, women of HIVE! Let's continue giving the best of our lives and our creations in each of the communities and represent women around the world.

Pensemos por un momento en cuántas de nosotras, a través de esta plataforma, expresamos nuestros sentimientos y nuestras experiencias; somos parte activa de la sociedad; estamos en todos y cada uno de los aspectos de la vida. Somos hijas, madres, esposas, trabajadoras y cuidadoras. Tienen que contar con nosotras para todo.
Considere a las mujeres valientes que superaron obstáculos para hacer realidad sus sueños, así como los de aquellas que fueron ignoradas, a pesar de sus talentos. Estas mujeres se convirtieron en astronautas, pilotos, capitanas, científicas, escritoras y músicos, y lucharon por nuestro derecho a influir en la política y desempeñar importantes funciones gubernamentales en un país. A las mujeres hay que celebrarlas cada día por todo lo que hacen. En especial en nuestras sociedades latinoamericanas, en las que a la mujer muchas veces les toca ser madre y padre a la vez y logran salir adelante.

I cannot imagine what it was like for women centuries ago, and not being allowed to fullfil their dreams of being more than just a mother and a wife, although like you say, that is a job in itself that requires many skills and sacrifices.
Sad that some still think like that!
