These beautiful birds with a crest arrive in late autumn, when it is already cool. They fly from the taiga, mainly from the north. They are easy to spot by their very noisy flocks. They all get together and raid berry trees. As a rule, these are rowan, viburnum, or mini apples.
And with the onset of spring they fly back, also all together. And at this time they already find a partner.
However, they can still be found in the forests, apparently these are those who fly very far to the south. At the latest I saw these birds on May 9th.
