Now that we live in Germany, we also celebrate Mother's Day in May. We are lucky that both our mothers are still alive, my mum and my wife's mum. As luck would have it, it's also her birthday today, so we celebrated both days. Of course, my wife was also honoured, as she is my son's mother.
We went for a short drive to the Ammersee today and then went home and ate some cake on the terrace.
I am glad that there is such a day, because without the mothers of this world we would not have been born and would not be the people we are. Yes, it depends on the culture, where I am happy to live in a culture that honours women, where women are free and don't feel threatened. And yes, much more can be done for women. Mothers should also be better rewarded. Many people talk about equality, but nobody thinks about the fact that women are not able to carry 50kg bags of cement. Yes, wages should be the same for the same work, but there should be no quotas for recruitment.
Mothers and women must be protected by men, but they must also be heard. Without our mums, the world wouldn't work. My mum has helped me a lot in life, and now that I'm getting older, she still helps me. My wife gives all her love to our child and is a great mum. Without these two women, my life would be much worse.

Da wir jetzt in Deutschland leben, feiern wir den Muttertag auch im Mai. Wir sind froh, dass unsere beiden Mütter noch leben, also meine Mama und die Mutter meiner Frau. Wie es der Zufall will, hat sie heute auch Geburtstag, also haben wir beide Tage gefeiert. Natürlich wurde auch meine Frau geehrt, denn sie ist die Mutter meines Sohnes.
Wir sind heute kurz zum Ammersee gefahren und dann nach Hause und haben auf der Terrasse ein bisschen Kuchen gegessen.
Ich bin froh, dass es einen solchen Tag gibt, denn ohne die Mütter dieser Welt wären wir nicht geboren und nicht die Menschen, die wir sind. Ja, es hängt von der Kultur ab, wo ich froh bin, in einer Kultur zu leben, die die Frauen ehrt, wo die Frauen frei sind und sich nicht bedroht fühlen. Und ja, man kann viel mehr für die Frauen tun. Man sollte auch die Mutter besser belohnen. Viele reden von Gleichberechtigung, aber niemand denkt daran, dass Frauen nicht in der Lage sind, 50 kg schwere Zementsäcke zu tragen. Ja, der Lohn sollte für die gleiche Arbeit gleich sein, aber es sollte keine Quoten bei der Einstellung geben.
Mütter und Frauen müssen von den Männern geschützt, aber auch gehört werden. Ohne unsere Mütter würde die Welt nicht funktionieren. Meine Mutter hat mir viel im Leben geholfen, und jetzt, wo ich älter werde, hilft sie mir immer noch. Meine Frau schenkt unserem Kind all ihre Liebe und ist eine großartige Mutter. Ohne diese beiden Frauen wäre mein Leben viel schlechter.
