Cheers To Another Life Well-Lived: My Partner’s 28th Birthday Celebration

My partner has taught me the importance of humility and kindness more than anyone else. As it is his birthday today, we are celebrating another year of his existence with family and friends, and I am grateful for this opportunity to share good food, stories, and laughter. A birthday celebration sounds like the perfect way to honor him and his hard work.

As we were getting the foods ready, my cousin from Bogo City showed up with some tequila. We took a quick break to enjoyed a drink before continuing with the preparations for the lumpia. Shanghai Lumpia is a popular dish in the Philippines, particularly for special events like birthdays. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to make some Lumpia, or Shanghai Rolls for the occasion.

Say hi to @iamgagz09 wearing her black jersey and to my other cousins. After we had finished preparing the food, we then went outside on our bermuda grass to chill and relax on our sofa bed while we continued drinking our tequila paired with salt and lemon.

My partner finished cooking the other dishes and left the house for a while. I decided to step out and found him with some friends and family, enjoying their favorite liquor and sharing stories and laughter. My partner is an excellent cook and used to work at one of the most famous restaurants in the Philippines, so it's no surprise that he has a passion for cooking. When it was time to cook the remaining food, I asked him to come home first and finish cooking before rejoining the group.

One of the best things my partner has is that he is a good listener and whenever I tell him to do this and that, he always listens to me and follows me with full consent and respect. That's one of the things I love most about him.

He then returned home and finished cooking, and we shared dinner with our family and friends. We decided to have a birthday dinner since it's more convenient because we will be celebrating outside our bermuda grass in our frontyard, and we waited for the sun to come out before we could enjoy the company outside. Our friends and families are outside, feeling the fresh air, and hearing the chirping birds.

For my partner's birthday dinner, he prepared an amazing spread of food for our friends and family to share. I appreciate how much care and enthusiasm he put into even the simplest celebrations. And, of course, I couldn't forget to get him a birthday cake to complete the celebration.

His name being Angelito he has a nickname Litoy that’s what is on his birthday greetings on his birthday cake.

Once the group photos were taken, we checked in and savored our dinner. Celebrating special occasions with my loved ones always fills my heart with joy. It's a privilege to be able to celebrate partner's birthday here in our hometown. Being surrounded by the people who mean the most to me is truly a blessing.

As we all know, liquor can add some extra fun and excitement to any occasion. At my partner's recent birthday celebration, we enjoyed a variety of drinks as seen on the photos. One thing that stood out to me was how people tend to behave after drinking. Most simply head to bed once they've had their fill. It's important to remember that liquor should end up in the stomach, not the brain.

Attached is a photo of me with my cousins celebrating my partner's 28th birthday. I always look forward to gatherings like this because it gives me the chance to reunite with family members who live far away or nearby but have busy schedules. After the year 2023, I learned to cherish these moments more and prioritize spending time with loved ones over random acquaintances.
