Today I want to share with you a nice experience I had a couple of days ago with my dear people. And that undoubtedly restarted my life. Meeting up with friends is the best way to heal and recharge batteries to continue facing life and its vicissitudes.
To give some context to this story, I would like to remind you that in Venezuela we have been living for the last eight years a generalized economic precariousness. In addition to an energy crisis and after 2020 with the pandemic many things were affected socially and culturally. It seems that this has nothing to do with friendship and family relationships, but it has everything to do with it. The way we relate to each other has changed too much.
Partly because the idea of inviting your friends out for a coffee or a bite to eat became implausible, since no one had enough money to make such an invitation. On the other hand the public squares, parks or possible free meeting points were in total abandonment and deterioration. So it was also not a consideration to hold a meeting in a place that involved little expense.
Recently, things have improved, now the income is enough for recreation and the regional governments have taken on the task of recovering recreation and leisure spaces. The parks and squares have once again become suitable places for meetings and gatherings.
A few days ago they announced a rock concert in the María del Carmen Ramírez square, better known as "Plaza los Mangos", this is one of the most iconic squares in the city of San Cristóbal. The event was free because the mayor's office would take care of all the expenses. So my dear @aly.squid we decided that we would not miss it. At first we tried to invite other friends from the city to see us there, but they had other commitments and told us they couldn't go. This made us very sad, because since 2020 when we moved to a small town 1 hour away from the city we have felt many friendships drifting away from us, due to the fact that we couldn't meet as often as before. Even so, we were not discouraged with the event and we agreed that even if it was just the two of us we would enjoy it to the fullest.
The day of the event was wonderful. It was only a short time into the event when we started seeing familiar faces. The energy was incredible, it was like an endless exchange of laughter, hugs, kisses, stories. From the beginning to the end we met different people who like us were ecstatic about the beautiful magic of coincidence.
We saw old friends from work, school and adventures. Some of them we hadn't seen for years and it was magical to meet in the midst of good music. Singing together and shaking our heads until we burst.
With others of them we had dinner and talked until midnight in one of the streets of the city. Those streets that once seemed dangerous to me, became a sacred temple under the shelter of the people I love.
It was sad to hear of difficult times they had gone through in all this time without seeing us. Much more comforting to hear their stories of how they have overcome all the adversities. But the most beautiful thing was to realize that even though time has passed and miles of distance have come between me and my friends, the friendship, trust and magic of smiling together and hugging without fear survive intact.
I thank life for giving me back these moments I thought I had lost. And I allow myself to reaffirm something I have always believed and that is that friendship is a place to come back to.

Reencuentro con mi gente querida. Risas, cariño y Rock&Roll (Ingles/Español)
Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, especialmente a los que comparten sus momentos más preciados en esta hermosa comunidad. Hoy les quiero compartir una linda experiencia que tuve hace un par de días junto a mi gente querida. Y que sin duda que reinicio la vida. Reencontrarnos con amigos es la mejor forma de sanar y recargar baterías para seguir enfrentando la vida y sus vicisitudes.
Para dar un poco de contexto a esta historia me gustaría recordarles que en Venezuela hemos vivido desde hace unos ocho años una precarización económica generalizada. Además de una crisis energética y después del 2020 con la pandemia muchas cosas se vieron afectadas a nivel social y cultural. Parece que esto no tiene nada que ver con la amistad y las relaciones familiares, pero tiene todo que ver. La forma en que nos relacionamos entre las personas cambio demasiado.
Una parte porque esa idea de invitar a salir a tus amigos para tomarse un café o comer algo se volvió inverosímil, ya que nadie tenía suficiente dinero para hacer tal invitación. Por otro lado las plazas públicas, parques o posibles puntos de encuentro gratuitos estaban en total abandono y deterioro. Así que tampoco era una consideración hacer un encuentro en un sitio que implicara pocos gastos.
Desde hace poco tiempo las cosas han mejorado, ahora los ingresos dan un poco para la recreación y los gobernantes a nivel regional se han dado la tarea de recuperar espacios de recreación y esparcimiento. Los parques y plazas volvieron a ser sitios aptos para los encuentros y las reuniones.
Hace unos días anunciaron un concierto de rock en la plaza María del Carmen Ramírez, mejor conocida como “Plaza los Mangos”, esta es una de las plazas más icónicas de la ciudad de San Cristóbal. El evento era gratuito porque la alcaldía se encargaría de todos los gastos. Así que mi querida @aly.squid decidimos que no nos lo perderíamos. Al principio tratamos de invitar a otros amigos de la ciudad para vernos allá, pero tenían otros compromisos y nos dijeron que no podían ir. Esto nos puso muy tristes, porque desde el 2020 que nos mudamos a un pueblito a 1 hora de la ciudad hemos sentido como muchas amistades se alejaron de nosotras, por el hecho de que no podíamos coincidir tan seguidos como antes. Aun así no nos desanimamos con el evento y acordamos que así fuéramos las dos solas lo disfrutaríamos al máximo.
El día del evento fue maravilloso. Tenía muy poco tiempo de haber comenzado cuando empezamos a ver caras conocidas. La energía fue increíble, fue como un intercambio sin fin de risas, abrazos, besos, historias. Desde que empezó hasta el final nos encontraos a diferentes personas que al igual que nosotras estaban extasiados por la hermosa magia de coincidir.
Vimos viejos amigos de trabajo, de estudio y de aventuras. Algunos de ellos teníamos años sin verles y fue mágico encontrarnos en medio de la buena música. Cantar juntos y mover la cabeza hasta reventar.
Con otros de ellos cenamos y estuvimos conversando hasta media noche en una de las calles de la ciudad. Esas calles que alguna vez me parecieron peligrosas, se convirtieron en un templo sagrado bajo el cobijo de las personas a las que quiero.
Fue triste enterarnos de momentos difíciles que habían atravesado en todo este tiempo sin vernos. Mucho más reconfortante escuchar sus historias de cómo han superado todas las adversidades. Pero lo más hermoso fue darme cuente que aun el tiempo ha pasado y kilómetros de distancia se han interpuesto entre mis amigos y yo, la amistad, la confianza y la magia de sonreír juntos y abrazarnos sin miedo sobreviven intactas.
Agradezco a la vida por devolverme estos momentos que pensé que había perdido. Y me permito reafirmar algo que siempre he creído y es que la amistad es un sitio para volver.

Hola @jetta.amaya, es cierto, que por la situación económica y la pandemia muchas cosas cambiaron. Me identifico mucho cuando mencionaste lo del café que incluso a veces uno se cohíbe de invitar una salida por no tener para cubrir gastos sin embargo, esas dos situaciones creo que a mas de 1 nos han enseñado que más vale compartir el momento , porque la vida pasa tan rápido que no se sabe cuando será la próxima salida. Me da gusto que se hayan disfrutado se nota mucho en los gif al final será un bonito recuerdo saludos!
