We all desire to have a better world where all our dreams and goals can be actualized. We don't want to struggle all our lives with little or nothing to show for it. We want to leave a better world even for our children so they would have a better experience than what we have been used to. We sometimes seem to forget that life is not all about wishes but about taking a conscious step to birth the things we desire.
Yes, it's good to have a mental image of the things we desire so we can drag ourselves to achieve them. I am a firm believer that we cannot feature in a future that we cannot picture and also of the belief that if we don't walk towards our dreams nothing can be achieved.
I have heard a lot of people speak of leaving a better world for their children but I don't think I want to do that. Why you ask? I would rather want to leave better children to the world so they can recreate the world they desire too because nothing can stop a determined mind. I always tell people to stop asking their children what they want to become in life but rather ask them what problem are they willing to solve. The thing is, problems cannot be exhausted in the world that we live in. New problems seem to surface every time and at every corner but when they have the mentality that they are problem solvers and not just people that should go through an already set template, it helps them to think differently, see things differently and then work on creating a better solution to solve it.
We all want things to be better, at least for ourselves. Someone even joked that he is looking for a bank that would give him a loan and then leave him alone. As funny as it sounds, that guy definitely wants a better life too. He wants things to be easy for him in his journey to a better life than he has been used to.
We want to have the world at our fingertips and it's not a bad thing to desire more out of life. Someone once joked and prayed that he hoped that people would get more out of life than a cup of tea or coffee. The thing is, we need to think differently and allow our imaginations to grow. We can create the world we desire but most of us would rather lazy around and leave the thought process for others because we think we are too small to affect any real or meaningful changes. We already have a defeated mindset even before we venture into it. We are causing more problems not for us alone but for the world as we are depriving the world of our creativity and the solution that we might produce.
Nature has given us all that we need. We have been blessed with an abundance of goodness with nature but we have been sleeping on it and overlooking the beauty it possesses rather we tear her down and didn't think much of it. Nature is like the raw materials that we need but we are not igniting the fire in us to achieve the things we need. We should take serious steps for the things we desire. There is more to life than just eating and sleeping. Most people are not living but they are merely existing and I think if most of us, myself included, think about it, we can see that we have just been living to get by and not really tackling the problems we have been equipped to solve.
Life is more than just those Instagram poses and Tik Tok challenges. We must not die with our music unwritten inside us. We should fan our desires into flame but first, we need to start thinking differently so we can break away from the norms. We are capable of so much more and we must not allow our voices to be tamed.
We need to be inspired by the success of others rather than to feel demoralized that we are failing. You are not failing, you are not just taking the steps that are necessary. Life won't give you things just because you desire them but there are some times you have to place a demand to get the things that you desire.
