There's a nasty intersection a couple miles from us. We've watched the traffic get heavier and heavier over the past 25 years. Now it's getting dangerous to try to turn left onto the highway. They really need a traffic signal light. The high school is nearby, and I keep wondering how many high school kids will have to get hurt or killed before the DOT decides to put in a traffic light.

The 54/41 interchange? That IS a wild intersection. The problems are systemic in that the ancient roads were made for 55mph speeds and now with 70 being the norm there just isn't the adequate space for deceleration and acceleration. I'm sure Idaho is just as responsive to requests for road repairs as Washington...
