March Update - Hive Community Garden Journal Challenge

Only 11 more days until Spring but it is still very much winter here. The Farmer's Almanac forecast for Spring says it will be slow in warming up in our area and we could expect a big snow storm at the end of April.
So I'm in no rush to get my seedlings started and I'm still enjoying fresh greens and herbs from my indoor garden.

JJ really enjoys having his spot indoors where he can stays warm watching the birds outside. His outdoors, indoors.

My Aloe Vera plant is loving the conditions in the indoor garden and is getting quite big. My little women statue is starting to get covered up. I pick leaves off the aloe vera to put in my toner drink along with lemon, ginger and turmeric, root sweetened with stevia.

The only seedlings I have growing are my pepper plants and the cannabis plants that we will be growing indoors.

We are trying some auto-flower cannabis plants this year and are experimenting growing them indoors with some seeds our neighbor gave us. The trick with them is to get them in the spots where they will be growing then don't mess with them. That is why we have them in their big pots already. So far they are growing well. I had to put some tin foil on them to keep JJ off and it will work as a mulch too, Then I added some sticky cards again to keep JJ off and to catch bugs.

And look who likes hanging out by the cannabis - JJ. He loves stretching out under the lights.

Here's my two fur buddies wanting to go out for it is a sunny day. Bruno goes out for quite awhile but JJ only minutes - he is waiting for spring.

Outdoors you will see we still have a lot of snow and we just got a few more inches just the other day. It's beautiful and pristine but will be awhile before I'm planting anything outdoors.

Oh my thought is that if you have fresh herbs you have all you need! That is healthy looking Aloe Vera....guarded by an equally healthy looking kitty. My Siamese likes rolling under my herb bushes. Eeeck. He thinks he's cute. Why do you have foil around the cannabis? Is it to protect from the cold? Love that blanket of snow but I'm sure you are tired of it @porters! Here I'm about ready to harvest our rooftop height cannabis and waiting for cooler weather to begin planting

I BET JJ and Bruno can't wait to be out in the better Spring weather! It always amazes me to see your garden thrive so inside!

I don't blame JJ. I like the warm spring weather, too!

Looks like it's nice and cozy in your indoor space. Love those fig trees. And all of the wonderful herbs. That aloe looks amazing, too! I had some from a friend that never quite took off and eventually died, but perhaps I should try some again soon.

I always get so inspired seeing everyone else's plantings that it makes me want to keep growing more and more!

Love the one: JJ and Bruno Waiting to Go Out, especially JJ's expression. :))

Indoor plants look healthy, JJ has a warm comfy spot to relax, exactly what cats love!

Does Bruno ever eat any of the Lemon Grass when in this section? Why I ask is all my dogs have loved a few leaves daily 😅, have a bush of lemon grass in a well shaded side of the garden to avoid drying out in the hot conditions here.

Nice to stumble across your journal once again.

That aloe looks healthier than the aloe growing everywhere here in Cambodia. Well, the aloe here is definitely not taken care of, it kind of grows despite human neglect, although they never get big without a little love. Your fur friends are smart, I'd be indoors too with all that cold out there....brrrrr!
