Hello fellow foodies

I had the pleasure of having lunch at a restaurant inside the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) building 🏢 in Kobe recently. We heard about the international menu and that they accepted walk in patrons. On the day we visited, four lunch sets were being showcased. I opted for the Egyptian dish pictured here. The set had chicken cutlet with vegetables served with white rice 🍚 and miso soup.

The JICA building also has a library with a small collection of English and Japanese books. There is also a display area with many SDGs related items and what appeared to be souviniers from many different countries. There is also a section with traditional wear from other countries that visitors to JICA can actually try on and take pictures.
There were also some exhibits about fair trade and pictures of the locations where JICA representatives are working all over the world.

Thank you for reading this far. If you are ever in Kobe, you can visit the JICA office. It's about 10 minutes from the JR Nada train 🚆 station.

Stay connected, stay healthy.
