Tal vez uno del tipo de películas que menos he visto en mi vida ha sido el asociado a los kaijus, sin embargo, el ver el gran revuelo que en los últimos años ha vuelto a generar las películas de grandes monstruos, me he animado a ver alguna de las tantas versiones de Godzilla. Esta película fue estrenada el 2016, es japonesa. Siendo sus directores Hideaki Anno y Shinji Higuchi.
Perhaps one of the type of movies that I have seen less in my life has been the one associated with kaijus, however, seeing the great hype that in recent years has returned to generate the big monster movies, I have encouraged me to see one of the many versions of Godzilla. This movie was released in 2016, it is Japanese. Its directors are Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi.
Sinopsis: En las costas de una ciudad japonesa, se encuentra un pequeño yate vacío, a su vez, ocurre una anomalía en el mar. Hechas las investigaciones, y luego de ser corroborado en vivo, se descubre que es un monstruo como nunca se había visto antes. Los políticos japoneses y sus fuerzas de defensa tendrán un reto muy duro, para saber cómo enfrentar al que parece un invencible ser, Godzilla.
Synopsis: On the shores of a Japanese city, a small empty yacht is found, in turn, an anomaly occurs in the sea. La película muestra el lado de los políticos y especialistas japoneses que tratan de entender, hacer averiguaciones y tomar decisiones, para enfrentar a la amenaza. Godzilla por su parte destruye ciudades, y enfrentará los diversos ataques que le hagan.

Al final es una lucha de la humanidad contra una amenaza, juntando el apoyo de diversas personas, organizaciones y estados. En muchos momentos, la historia tiene un tono solemne, especialmente en las escenas de combate, pero deja espacio para como diversos personajes tratan de sobrellevar la situación, incluso un poco de sátira.
In the end it is a struggle of humanity against a threat, gathering the support of various people, organizations and states. In many moments, the story has a solemn tone, especially in the combat scenes, but leaves room for how various characters try to cope with the situation, even a bit of satire.
Sobre la animación y efectos especiales, la primera aparición del monstruo hasta que comienza hacer sus evoluciones, es poco convincente, siendo bastante feo el resultado. Sin embargo, mejora con creces. Por el lado de la lucha y la destrucción de ciudades, el trabajo es mejor.
About the animation and special effects, the first appearance of the monster until it begins to make its evolutions, is unconvincing, being quite ugly the result. However, it improves by far. On the side of the fight and the destruction of cities, the work is better.
La música le da, como mencioné antes, un aire de solemnidad a muchas escenas, además que ayuda a transmitir la tensión en diversas escenas. La actuación es correcta, destacando Satomi Ishihara, interpretando a una agente americana, Kayoko Anne Patterson.
The music gives, as I mentioned before, an air of solemnity to many scenes, and also helps to convey the tension in several scenes. The acting is fine, with Satomi Ishihara standing out, playing an American agent, Kayoko Anne Patterson.
Considero que si bien no es la película más emocionante, ni trama elaborada, tiene muchos momentos con buenos resultados, especialmente en las escenas de combate.
I consider that although it is not the most exciting movie, nor elaborate plot, it has many moments with good results, especially in the combat scenes.

I haven't seen it yet, it looks good! I understand that at first the design of the monster is not very convincing, but then it improves substantially, especially in the scenes of destruction and combat. Those moments must be really cool! Cheers! 🙌
