Yesterday we met with our students in the Abel Santamaria park and we had the privilege of visiting the "Abel Santamaria" Museum, since here they treasure countless information and experiences that are part of their study content in History of Cuba and that are also very specific objectives in the university entrance tests.
This is a place of high historical values, declared National Heritage, where the "Saturnino Lora" hospital was located. This place was also part of the action plan for the assault on the Moncada Barracks, so it was taken in the assault to support the actions of the Moncada barracks.

Ayer nos dimos cita con nuestros estudiantes en el parque Abel Santamaria y tuvimos el privilegio de visitar juntos el Museo "Abel Santamaria", ya que aquí se atesora un sin número de información y de vivencias que forma parte de su contenido de estudio en Historia de Cuba y que también son objetivos muy puntuales en las pruebas de ingreso a la universidad.
Este es un lugar de un alto valor histórico, declarado Patrimonio Nacional, donde se encontraba el hospital "Saturnino Lora", este lugar también formaba parte del plan de acción del asalto al Cuartel Moncada, por lo que fue tomado en el asalto para apoyar las acciones del cuartel Moncada.
Comenzamos el recorrido por el museo acompañados de la guía del museo quien nos iba detallando los sucesos ocurridos,y los estudiantes atendían y miraban todas las cosas que les iban explicando con mucha admiración y respeto.
Y mi hija también se sumo al grupo ya que es amante de la historia.
Según íbamos avanzando por las diferentes salas podían revivir y consolidar los conocimientos que habían adquirido anteriormente en clases, y hasta detallar algunas cosas que no tenían muy claras y es que los museos nos trasladan en el tiempo y nos hacen ver más detalladamente cada parte de la historia.

As we moved through the different rooms, they could revive and consolidate the knowledge they had previously acquired in classes, and even detail some things that were not very clear to them, which is that museums take us back in time and make us see each part of history in more detail. history.
Entramos a la sala del juicio que se celebró dentro del aula de enfermería, ya que las personas estaban enaltecidas en las calles, decidieron realizar el juicio dentro de la sala de enfermería, donde Fidel Castro pronuncia su alegato de defensa conocido como "La Historia me absolvera".
En las silla estaban sentados los periodistas que no pudieron ni tirar fotos ni tomar notas y el juicio se celebró a puertas cerradas.
Los estudiantes quedaron muy conmovidos al ver el juicio tan injusto y amañado que tuvieron.
A la salida del museo nos tiramos una foto todos juntos para inmortalizar este momento, no solo por la foto, sino por todo el conocimiento que adquirieron en el museo, ya que no es lo mismo recibir el conocimiento a través de un libro y de la explicación del maestro que corroborar todo lo aprendido con un recorrido por el lugar de los hechos. Ellos nunca van a olvidar todo lo aquí aprendido, además van a poder contextualizar y aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos con mayor facilidad.
Los profesores también nos sentimos muy satisfecho de haber salido del aula para ir al museo, ya que es un recurso invaluable que tenemos en nuestra provincia y que tenemos la posibilidad de aprovechar lo para llegar a nuestros estudiantes de una forma más directa y real.

They will never forget everything they have learned here, and they will also be able to contextualize and apply the knowledge acquired more easily.
The teachers also feel very satisfied to have left the classroom to go to the museum, since it is an invaluable resource that we have in our province and that we have the possibility of taking advantage of to reach our students in a more direct and real way.
El recorrido duro menos de una hora, nos demoramos más porque ellos también tiraban fotos y tomaban notas, no obstante fue un tiempo maravilloso cargado de muchas enseñanzas inolvidables por lo que estoy segura que sus resultados en las pruebas de Historia serán todo un éxito.
