The Russians will put the Ukrainian energy infrastructure out of service; the question is not if, but when. A long, cold, and dark winter awaits Ukraine. I believe Europe should prepare for an unprecedented influx of refugees.
The Russian secret services will sneak their agents into Europe. Many migrant smugglers will exploit the situation for profit. Ukrainian women and children will be at risk of being abducted and exploited in ways the sane mind can't fathom.
Furthermore, Russia will gain unrestricted access to Ukrainian minerals vital for nanotechnology, estimated at $15 trillion (Forbes Ukraine).
With Ukraine's minerals, combined with Russia's own resources, Europe's and America's myopic and corrupt engineers, and China's manufacturing prowess, they'll easily dominate the latter half of the 21st century.
The fall of Ukraine signifies the end of America's global dominance, as well as the end of Europe as we know it.
With millions of pro-Russian 'migrants' residing in Europe, the Kremlin can blackmail us into submission. "Do as you're told, or else...!"
