Hi everyone, this is my entry to Ladies of Hive Community Contest #63. This week contest come with two great questions from @trangbaby and I would like to answer the question: "Would you trade 10 years of life for wealth and fame?".

To answer this question, first, I would like to discuss a little bit about the value of wealth and fame and the value of time, because these are two things that are being traded and I believe that each has its own unique values that make them put side by side for consideration.
Let's talk about wealth and fame. It is a fact that wealth and fame seem to be considered as a negative factor in this exchange, when reading through other participants' opinions I see that most people think it is not worth exchanging 10 years of life for wealth and fame. But we are working to get rich and there are also many people who are working hard to be famous. I admit that money and fame are not everything in life, but they do matter to our lives. Life will surely become easier when we no longer have to worry about money, instead, we can think about bigger things, and sometimes can make positive impacts on our society. Please look at the billionaires who do charity, aren't they helping a lot of lives with money. When famous people make appeals for programs to protect women's and children's rights or protect the environment, etc., their exhortations usually have strong virality and positive influence to a lot of people. Of course what they do is only one part of the whole effort to make the world a better place, but it is also a very important part. That's why being rich and famous is a wonderful thing to me, and what makes it so great is how we use that wealth and fame. In other words, the value of wealth and fame lies in how they are used.
10 years in life is long or short, more or less really depends on each person. But would a long life be wonderful? Sometimes, I still worry that I will get old age amnesia, then maybe I won't be able to remember the loved ones next to me, maybe I won't even be able to take care of myself. For a human, it can be a scary time when you yourself no longer know who you are. I don't expect to live long, but I do hope while I'm alive I can still do the things that make my life meaningful. And the meaning of life for each person will be different, it can be family, work, money or anything that you put meaning into it. And the value of time is in whether it is used meaningfully or not.
In short, the value of time or wealth and fame lies not in itself, but in how we use it. 10 years will be well worth the exchange of wealth and fame if we can use them for meaningful purposes. 10 years can also be a priceless time that cannot be exchanged if it is 10 years we live fully and meaningfully.
Regarding my answer to the posed question, as a sane person I would probably ask further how rich and famous I would be exchanged 😄. Maybe we're all greedy, every trade makes us feel like we're losing out no matter what we choose. Fortunately this is just a fantasy question, and I hope I won't get a chance to choose in real life because it's really hard to pick.

Your reasoning is so on point.
I was even thinking, some people have money and have so much impart courtesy of Fame and utilized the short life they lived. Some acquire these and lose the value of life.
Some live for many years with little or no worth and the old age changes that set in, while others make their life and time count.
This is really dicey😆
