Planet Earth was created about 3.8 billion years ago, and it was followed by the creation of the atmosphere and the creation of water.
When you take a little bit of earth in your hand and tread on it, it may happen that some grain from that nugget is prehistoric.
And when you pour some water in glass, some molecule is probably billions of years old...
There is very little water on planet earth, considering the total mass of the earth, just a negligible 0.02%.
And that 0.02% of the total mass of planet Earth is responsible for all life on planet Earth.
Water covers 71% of the earth's surface and gives the planet its distinctive blue appearance when viewed from space.
96.5% of the water on earth is in the oceans and seas, 1.7% is underground water, 1.7% is in the ice caps of Antarctica and Greenland...
Only 2.5% of the earth's total water is fresh water, and 98.8% of that water is in ice and underground water.
Less than 0.3% of all fresh water is in rivers, lakes and the atmosphere.
Only 0.003% of fresh water is contained in biological bodies, ourselves and the flora and fauna around us, as well as in industrial products (our bodies are composed mostly of water, even 60% of our bodies are made of water).
Water available for drinking is so little, today in the world out of 7 billion of us, over 1 billion people do not have access to drinking water, and how do we treat it?
- A five-minute shower consumes about 200 liters of water.
- We use 8 liters of water to flush the toilet bowl
- We also use that much to brush our teeth.
- It takes about 200 liters of water to produce enough coffee beans for one cup of coffee.
- It takes about 15,000 liters of water to produce 1 kilogram of beef.
- It takes 100 liters of water to make two slices of bread and 65 liters to make cheese spread for one sandwich.
- It takes about 150 liters of water to make a pint of beer (568 ml).
- In order to produce a kilo of cotton, 10,000 liters of water are needed. From that amount of cotton, one T-shirt can be produced...
We use up water as if we had it indefinitely, risking being responsible for the destruction of the planet.
A planet that has existed for 3.8 billion years...
If we were to present the entire lifetime of the planet in one hour, it would look like this:
The first bacteria appeared at 18 minutes.
The first fish and plants at 54 minutes.
Dinosaurs at 58 minutes.
And the first humanoid beings in the last two seconds.
Modern man was created in the last tenth of the last second.
However, it has affected the appearance of the planet so much that it calls into question the survival of species on it.
If we are the cause of the sixth mass extinction, it would be the same as if RRMartin typed the entire Game of trones in Word and then exit without saving.

Because I have one thought - how silly our humanity is…
When I watch a drop of water sift through my fingertip, I can imagine the entire hour of its 3.8 billion long journey to my finger.
And then I took a bottle of water and saw the expiration date on the packaging.
Something that has a timeless duration and has been around for billions of years, mankind has put it in a bottle and given a shelf life of one year.

How can water expired maybe because of the chemical they had added to it
They bottle water in plastic packaging which is not healthy to store even for a day and they have to put a maximum expiration date of one year. If they sold it in glass packaging, i think the shelf life would be unlimited...
