Forest Bathing -Shinrinyoku and Lake Swimming

Have you ever heard of "Shinrinyoku" before? Shinrinyoku means forest bathing in Japanese. I love walking in the forest because I feel super relaxed, and it quickly resets me. As soon as I started walking in the woods, I immediately notice that my feelings and breathing change. I have only one issue in the forest, which is fighting with bugs. However, I still like to go for a walk. My dog and husband also love to go for a walk in the woods.
Additionally, we swim in the lake here. This lake is actually a reservoir. It was clean and warm but deep after the big storm. I saw giant dragonflies, enallagma, and eagles, but not turtles this time. My dog Dude will show you the way to get to the lake with my photos. Enjoy your forest bathing!
There is a small sign at a parking space.
You walk a few minutes to get into the forest. Nothing here. You just feel nature and listen to it.
Here is the entrance. There is a small path for us next to this fence.

I saw eagles in the sky but I couldn't take photos. You see many young eagles.
This shining blue bug is called an enallagma. It looks like a thin, see-through dragonfly.
Can you see the giant dragonflies? They were very fast so, I couldn't take a nice shot.
They are young maple leaves.
Komorebi (木漏れ日): sunlight filtering through trees.
Green, red, and yellow maple leave.

A big old oak tree.

森林浴と湖水浴
森林浴をしてきました。ものすごくリラックスできて、速攻で気持ちをリセットできるので、森の中を歩くのが好きです。森の中を歩き始めるとすぐに、気持ちが変わり呼吸の仕方が変化することに気がつきます。森の中で一つだけ問題なのは、虫です。それでも森の中を歩くのは好きです。私の主人と愛犬も森の中を散歩するのが大好きです。
さらに、湖水浴をします。この湖は貯水湖です。嵐の後でしたが、水が澄んでいて水かさが増していました。オニヤンマとルリイトトンボ、わしを見ました。亀は今回はいませんでした。愛犬ドュードが写真とともに散歩道をご案内します。森林浴をお楽しみください！
駐車場スペースに小さな看板があります。
森に着くまで数分歩きます。他には何もありません。自然の声を聞くだけです。
入り口です。フェンスの横に小さな入り口があります。

もうすでに数度温度が違うように感じます。
ドュードが「ついておいでよ！」と言っています。
気をつけてください！ 水たまりがあります。
キノコがあります。おや、誰かがかじったようです。
また、水たまりです。
もうすぐ到着です。左手に曲がったらすぐ湖です。
着きました！
きれいですね！
あれ？ ドュードがもうすでにいますね。
きれいな花が咲いています。
ちょっと冷たそうですね。
準備はいいですか？
水は思ったよりもあったかいです。
空にはワシが飛んでいましたが、写真を撮ることができませんでした。若いワシがたくさんいます。
ルリイロトンボ属です。細くて、スケスケのとんぼのようです。
オニヤンマが見えますか？ とても素早いので写真を上手に撮るのは難しかったです。

カナダ東部は、数日前に大雨で洪水被害がひどい地域がありました。わたしの地域は無事でしたが、去年よりもジメジメしている日が多い気がします。関東の暑さに比べると我慢できる程度の暑さです。朝晩はかなり涼しくなるので、暑さで眠ることができないという日は少ないです。
そちらは、朝も夜も、モワッとした暑さがありますよね、やっぱり🥵
