There Are Four Eggs in the Robin's Nest

Wow! Yay! There is a nest in my Chinese juniper tree again! There was a nest in a different tree a few years ago. However, that tree was affected by bugs after the birds left the nest, unfortunately. After I trimmed and removed the bugs from the tree, it recovered little by little.

This spring, I noticed that the tree and the one next to it were recovering very well. My husband noticed that there is a nest in the bigger tree, which is also recovering.

This is a robin's nest. There are four beautiful blue eggs in it. I have seen empty blue eggs before, but this is the first time I've seen eggs like this. I saw the mother robin caring for her nest very well. She is very serious about her nest.

I saw that the big crow, who also lives near my house and visits my yard sometimes, was checking the robin's nest yesterday! The mother robin protected it strongly, and the crow flew away. The spot is pretty safe because there is a big bird cherry tree next to the tree with the nest. I am impressed with the mother's strength. I am excited to see baby birds someday soon.

If I peek from my front yard, I can see the nest in the Chinese juniper tree, which is on the hill next to the driveway.

Oh, the eggs look like Easter chocolates or something. They are small and very beautiful. I didn't use any of my camera filters. This is the true colour of the eggs.

I really hope that nobody will steal the eggs from this nest!

コマツグミの巣に卵が４つあります

おぉ！やった！カイヅカイブキの木にまた鳥の巣があります！数年前、別の木に鳥の巣があったのですが、その木は残念なことに虫にやられてしまいました。その木から虫を除去して枯れた部分を剪定してから、少しずつ回復しつつあります。

この春、その横の木も少しずつ回復してきているのがわかりました。主人がその回復してきた大きな方の木に鳥の巣があるのを見つけました。

コマツグミの巣で、四つ青色の卵が入っています。前に青いたまごの殻を見かけたことはありますが、こんなふうに完璧な姿の卵を見たのは初めてです。コマツグミの母鳥が一生懸命卵の世話をしているのを見かけます。とても真剣に鳥の巣を守っています。

昨日、家の近所に住んでいてときどき庭に遊びにくるカラスが、そのコマツグミの巣をチェックしているのを見かけました。母鳥が必死に守って、カラスを撃退していました。巣のある場所は大きなバードチェリーの木の横にあるので安全な場所ではあります。母鳥の強さに感心しました。赤ちゃん鳥が無事に産まれてくるのを楽しみにしています。

庭から覗いて見ると、私道の横の小高くなっている場所にはえているカイヅカイブキの木の上に鳥の巣があるのが見えます。

おぉ、イースターのチョコレートみたいな卵です。小さくてとても綺麗です。カメラのフィルターは一切使用していませんので、見たままの卵の色です。

鳥の巣から卵が盗まれることなく、無事でありますように！
