This summer, I created my road map for the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. Let me state right away. Aegean coasts are cooler in summer than Mediterranean coasts. I can say that the sea water temperature in the Aegean is slightly colder than the Mediterranean. I like Fethiye more, which I see as the meeting point of the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. Today I will tell you about Katrancı Bay Nature Park, located in Fethiye district.
You can reach Katrancı Bay, where pine trees are densely felt and brings together the deep blue sea and greenery, in about fifteen minutes with your own vehicle from the center of Fethiye. For those who want to come by public transportation, shuttles depart from Fethiye center to the camping area every half hour. Entrance to this bay, which you can use as a forest and camping area, is paid. They set the entrance fee as 120 TL per person. We pay our fee and enter Katrancı Bay.
The bay, which is one of the most visited bays of Fethiye, which has a lush nature, clean bays, a deep-rooted history and cultural heritage, seems to have drowned the deep blue sea in front of it with greenery. Katrancı Bay is mostly used as a camping area, tent and caravan camping. It consists of two main bays under tall pine trees. Around the bay, there is a beach mixed with soil and gravel, walking paths with soil and stones, and benches made of wooden boards.
In the first bay within the Nature Park, there are quite large areas where you can set up your tent and caravan. There are restaurant sections consisting of electricity, shower, changing cabins, sink, WC and a business that will meet all your needs for the camping area. If you wish, you can also use the laundry section in the business for a fee. In the second bay, areas have been created where you can have a daily picnic and barbecue with your loved ones. Here you can also swim, fish and enjoy the beautiful view by sitting in the spaces by the sea.
Since Katrancı Bay is located in a low area, it is a bay sheltered from the wind. The sea is shallow and waveless, making it one of the most preferred spots for those who love swimming. You can also experience diving, water sports and enjoy a hammock overlooking the unique view in the bay, which is surrounded by nature and among the pine trees. For me, I can say that it has been one of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen for nature photography, which I have turned into a hobby these days.
As I do everywhere I travel, I tried to find areas where I could see the sea from above and walk along the coastline. I walked along the shore, through bushes and grass, and took lots of pictures, passing through areas where I could watch the sea. I loved the narrow stone path spotted with long strips of round long wooden planks. While walking on this road, I could hear and see all around the bay, the beauty of the sea and all the bird sounds I heard. The large covered cabins built in the backyard of the long stone-walled lane in front of the beach show how useful this place is. Guests can spend a pleasant time with their families in these cabins and enjoy the whole day.
As I wander around, I pass among thick-trunked pine trees trying to reach the sky. In my opinion, the wooden lane road made of mottled stone constitutes the most beautifully designed area of the bay. I can see the grass falling on the cabins and the calmness of the sea from some of the dirt roads I passed on my way to the road called the observation deck. Also, the smell of pine spreading around is wonderful...

Bu yaz Ege ve Akdeniz kıyıları için yol haritamı oluşturdum. Hemen belirteyim. Ege kıyıları, Akdeniz kıyılarına göre yazın daha serin geçiyor. Ege'nin deniz suyu sıcaklığı da Akdeniz'e göre biraz daha soğuk olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Ben, Ege ile Akdeniz kıyılarının buluşma noktası olarak gördüğüm Fethiye'yi daha çok seviyorum. Bugün sizlere Fethiye ilçesin de yer alan, Katrancı Koyu Tabiat Parkından bahsedeceğim.
Çam ağaçlarının yoğun olarak hissedildiği, masmavi denizi ve yeşilliği bir araya getiren, Katrancı Koyuna, Fethiye merkezden kendi aracınızla yaklaşık on beş dakikada gelebilirsiniz. Toplu taşıma ile gelmek isteyenler için, Fethiye merkezden her yarım saatte bir, kamp alanına servisler kalkmaktadır. Orman ve kamp alanı olarak değerlendirebileceğiniz bu koya girişler ücretlidir. Kişi başı giriş ücreti olarak 120 TL olarak belirlemişler. Ücretimizi ödeyerek Katrancı Koyuna giriş yapıyoruz.
Yemyeşil doğası, temiz koyları, köklü bir tarihi ile kültürel mirası elinde bulunduran Fethiye'nin en çok uğranılan koylardan biri olma özelliğini taşıyan koy, önündeki masmavi denizi yeşilliklere boğmuş görünüyor. Katrancı koyu, daha çok, kamp yeri, çadır ve karavan kampı olarak kullanılıyor. Upuzun çam ağaçlarının altında iki ana koydan oluşuyor. Koyun etrafında, toprakla çakılın karışımı bir plaj, topraklı ve taşlı yürüyüş yolları ve ahşap tahtalardan yapılmış oturma bankları var.
Tabiat Parkın içindeki ilk koyda, çadır ve karavanınızı kurabileceğiniz oldukça geniş alanlar var. Kamp alanı için sizlere gerekli olan tüm ihtiyaçlarınızı karşılayacak, elektrik, duş, soyunma kabinleri, lavabo wc ve bir işletmeden oluşan restoran bölümleri bulunuyor. İsterseniz, işletmede yere alan çamaşırhane bölümünü de ücretli olarak kullanabilirsiniz. İkinci koyda da sevdiklerinizle beraber günübirlik olarak piknik ve mangal yapabileceğiniz alanlar oluşturulmuş. Burada ayrıca denize girebilir, balık tutabilir ve deniz kenarındaki boşluklarda oturarak güzel manzaranın tadını çıkarabilirsiniz.
Katrancı Koyu, alçak bir bölgede kaldığı için, rüzgara karşı korunaklı bir koy olarak geçiyor. Denizin sığ ve dalgasız oluşu da yüzmeyi çok sevenler için en çok tercih edilen noktalarından biri olarak geçiyor. Doğa ile iç içe ve çam ağaçlarının arasında bulunan koyda, dalış deneyimini, su sporlarını ve eşsiz manzaraya karşı hamak keyfini de yaşayabilirsiniz. Benim için, şu sıralar hobi haline getirdiğim doğa fotoğrafçılığı için, gördüğüm en güzel alanlardan biri oldu diyebilirim.
Gezdiğim her yerde, yaptığım gibi, burada da denizi tepeden görebileceğim ve kıyı şeridi boyunda yürüyebileceğim alanlar bulmaya çalıştım. Çalıların ve otların arasından kıyıdan yürüyerek denizi seyredeceğim alanlardan geçerek bol bol resim çektim. Yuvarlak uzun ahşap tahtalardan oluşan uzun şeritli benekli dar taş yolunu çok sevdim. Bu yolda yürürken koyun tüm etrafını, denizin güzelliğini ve kulağıma gelen tüm kuş seslerini duyabiliyor ve görebiliyordum. Plajın önünde, taş duvarlı uzun şeridin arka bahçesinde yapılan üstü kapalı geniş kabinler, buranın ne kadar kullanışlı olduğunu gösteriyor. Gelen misafirler bu kabinlerde ailecek hoş vakitler geçirerek bütün günün keyfini çıkarıyor.
Etrafı dolaşırken, gökyüzüne ulaşmaya çalışan kalın gövdeli çam ağaçların arasından geçiyorum. Benekli taştan oluşan ahşap şeritli yol, bence koyun en güzel biçimde tasarlanmış alanını oluşturuyor. Seyir terası denilen yola giderken geçtiğim bazı topraklı yollardan kabinlerin üzerine düşen otları, denizin sakinliğini görebiliyorum. Ayrıca etrafa yayılan çam kokusunu bir harika...

Yes and I would too, but living in Australia, we have to be really wary of sharks...so it's just habit you know...
