Hello friends lovers of threads and needles, have a great week together with your loved ones and God's blessing abound in your homes, I am happy to share a new project with you, I tell you that I am still cleaning and organizing the sewing bag and I have found several scraps that I am using to make sports outfits for my son, he is growing and needs larger and comfortable clothes for everyday, it has been a wonder to review this bag I got many scraps some are 50 cm long and facilitate the development of shores and flannels; This time I only had to add 20 cm of fabric from the hip to the waist of the shorts, for the shirt I used two colors of fabric.
It is a simple project to make and I really enjoyed making a new outfit for my son.
Hola amigos amantes de los hilos y las agujas, que tengan una excelente semana en unión de sus seres queridos y la bendición de Dios abunde en sus hogares, me siento feliz de compartir un nuevo proyecto con ustedes, les comento que aún sigo limpiando y organizando la bolsa de costura y he encontrado varios retazos que estoy usando para hacer conjuntos deportivos para mi hijo, está creciendo y necesita ropa más grande y cómoda para el diario, ha sido una maravilla revisar esta bolsa he conseguido muchos retazos algunos tienen 50 cm de largo y facilitan la elaboración de los shores y franelas; ya que requieren menos empate, en esta ocasión solo tuve que agregar 20 cm de tela desde la cadera hasta la cintura del short, para la camiseta usé dos colores de tela.
Es un proyecto sencillo de realizar y realmente disfruté hacer un nuevo conjunto para mi hijo.

Once the pieces were cut, I joined the T-shirt by the shoulders facing right to right. To decorate, I glued two (2) black strips on the upper front part.
Cortadas las piezas, uní la camiseta por los hombros enfrentando derecho con derecho, para decorar pegué dos (2) tira negras en la parte superior delantera.
Then, I sewed the bias binding on the neck and sleeves, facing the right side of the bias binding to the back of the fabric, then I turned the bias binding to the front and sewed with a straight stitch, the next step was to close the sides and sew a hem of 0.75 cm to make the hem, this is how the T-shirt is finished.
Luego pequé el sesgo en el cuello y mangas, enfrentando el derecho del sesgo con el revés de la tela, seguidamente volteé el sesgo hacia la parte delantera y cosí con puntada recta, el siguiente paso fue cerrar los laterales y coser un dobladillo de 0,75 cm para hacer el ruedo, así esta terminada la camiseta.
To make the shorts, I pinned and stitched the back and front, decorated the front with black strips and closed the legs, using straight stitch and sewing from the center down; this point is very important because if you sew from one end to the other it tends to stretch the fabric a little, it is advisable to do it from the center down and then the other leg in the same way, I have used this technique to make the overalls and shores and it has given me good results.
I also glued a 20 cm wide strip all the way around the shorts, since there was not enough fabric to cut the entire length.
Para hacer el short,sujeté con alfileres y cosí el tiro trasero y delantero, decoré con tiras negras la parte delantera y cerré las piernas, usando puntada recta y cosiendo desde el centro hacia abajo; este punto es muy importante porque si se cose desde un extremo al otro tiende a estirar un poco la tela, es recomendable hacerlo desde el centro hacia abajo y luego la otra pierna de la misma forma, he usado esta técnica para hacer los monos y shores y me ha dado muy buenos resultados.
También pegué una tira de 20 cm de ancho por todo el contorno del short, ya que la tela no fue suficiente para cortar el largo completo.

To make the hem I made a three (3) cm hem, basted and then sewed with straight stitch, so you are finished a new outfit for my son, making the most of the scraps of fabric from my super bag. Ha ha.
Para hacer el ruedo hice un dobladilo de tres (3) cm, basteé y luego cosí con puntada recta, así estás terminado un nuevo conjunto para mi hijo, aprovechando al máximo los retazos de tela de mi super bolsa. Ja, ja.
I am very happy with the result of this outfit, I liked the combination of the orange and black colors; something funny happened to me when I added the 20 cm strip at the top of the shorts, I did not take into account that this would make the shorts longer, and it already looked like a capri, the solution was to make the hem wider and so I got the length that my son likes.
Me siento muy feliz con el resultado de este conjunto, me gustó la combinación de los colores naranja y negro; me sucedió algo gracioso al agregar la tira de 20 cm en la parte superior del short, no tomé en cuenta que esto haría más largo el short, y ya parecía un capri, la solución fue hacer el ruedo más ancho y así obtuve el largo que le gusta a mi hijo.
