¿Por qué Calas de medianoche? El fin de semana estuvo bastante aburrido, por múltiples razones. La principal es que me dí un reposo muy "estricto", incluyendo el tejido. Lo que en realidad me costó muchísimo hacer. Es que estoy con un nuevo tratamiento ya que supuestamente si no hago el reposo no me irá bien con ninguno. Les cuento que para no estar sin hacer nada sí realicé algunas manualidades, pero muy sencillas y a un ritmo no acostumbrado. No exagero si les digo que en un día hice una rosa de cartón.
Entre otras cositas sencillas también realicé Las calas en macetas. Estas las empecé en la noche mientras veía un nuevo capitulo de Pájaro soñador. Tejí tres macetas en color beige y la parte de la tierra en color marrón.

Why Midnight Coves? The weekend was quite boring, for multiple reasons. The main one is that I gave myself a very "strict" rest, including knitting. Which I actually had a very hard time doing. I'm on a new treatment since supposedly if I don't do the rest I won't do well with any of them. I tell you that in order not to do nothing, I did do some handicrafts, but very simple and at an unaccustomed pace. I am not exaggerating if I tell you that in one day I made a cardboard rose.
Among other simple things, I also made the calla lilies in pots. I started these at night while I was watching a new episode of Dreaming Bird. I wove three pots in beige and the soil part in brown.

Como estoy segura que haré unas cuantas más, escribí el patrón en mi cuaderno para que se me haga más fácil encontrarlo. En esta oportunidad escribí el paso a paso para realizar la flor de Cala ya que el de la maceta ya lo tengo escrito.
La flor la tejí en horas de la madrugada. Me quedé profundamente dormida y al despertarme me fijé que eran las 3:45 am. Ya no tenía más sueño y decidí ponerme a tejer las Calas.
Trabajé con poca luz porque en los lugares donde tenía las luces encendidas había muchísimas hormigas grandes voladoras, supongo que por la lluvia ellas comienzan a entrar a la casa atraídas por la luz. Por esa razón no quise encender todos los bombillos de mi cuarto.

As I am sure I will make a few more, I wrote the pattern in my notebook to make it easier to find it. This time I wrote the step by step for the Cala flower since I have already written the one for the flowerpot.
I knitted the flower in the wee hours of the morning. I fell deeply asleep and when I woke up I noticed that it was 3:45 am. I was no longer sleepy and decided to start weaving the Calas.
I worked with little light because in the places where I had the lights on there were a lot of big flying ants, I guess because of the rain they start to enter the house attracted by the light. That's why I didn't want to turn on all the light bulbs in my room.

🌿 La Cala la elaboré de manera muy sencilla. Tejí con el hilo blanco un círculo empezando con 6pb dentro de un anillo mágico. Levanté varias vueltas hasta llegar a la de 3pb-1aum. Luego de esa vuelta tejí 12pb-2pa-1ppicot de 2c-2pa-14pb. Cerré la vuelta. Dejé un trozo de hilo largo antes de cortarlo para luego coser con él.
Las hojas también las tejí súper fácil. Tejí 10 cadenas y en ellas tejí 2pb-5pma-2pb. Dejé la hebra larga antes de cortarla para usarla después.
El tronco de la planta lo hice con un palito de madera. En las flores anteriores utilicé alambre de floristería, pero en la Cala decidí usar el palito para ver qué tal se ve. Con ambos materiales me gustó mucho hacerlas. Como pueden ver el palito está forrado con hilo amarillo en la parte superior y con hilo verde en el resto. Solo dejé sin forrar la parte que entra en la maceta.
Las hojas las fijé pasando primero los hilos sobrantes desde el centro de la tierra, justo a los lados del tronco. Con esas hebras de hilo realicé un nudo en la parte de la maceta y luego lo escondí allí mismo. Para asegurarlas coloqué un poquito de pegamento entre cada hoja y la tierra.

🌿 I made the cove in a very simple way. I knitted with the white yarn a circle starting with 6pb inside a magic ring. I picked up several loops until I reached the 3pb-1aum loop. After that round I knit 12pb-2pa-1ppicot of 2c-2pa-14pb. I closed the round. I left a long piece of yarn before cutting it off to sew with later.
The leaves were also super easy to knit. I knit 10 strands and knit 2pb-5pma-2pb into them. I left the long strand before cutting it to use later.
The trunk of the plant I made with a wooden stick. In the previous flowers I used florist wire, but in the Cala I decided to use the stick to see how it looks. With both materials I really enjoyed making them. As you can see the stick is lined with yellow thread on the top and green thread on the rest. I only left the part that goes into the pot unlined.
I attached the leaves by first passing the leftover threads from the center of the soil, just to the sides of the trunk. With those strands of thread I tied a knot in the part of the pot and then hid it right there. To secure them I put a little bit of glue between each leaf and the soil.

Cuando amaneció ya yo había terminado mis tres Calas en macetas, dormí dos horas más y me levanté a encontrarme con mi hermana. Ella me dice que debo hacer el reposo y dejar de estar tejiendo y haciendo oficios, pero me pongo muy inquieta. Intento leer o solo ver series y películas, pero no puedo. Tampoco mi mente está calmada cuando estoy sin hacer nada. Espero que les haya gustado esta idea súper sencilla de hacer Calas. Son flores muy lindas 😍 Ahora ya sé cómo tejer las rosas, margaritas, girasoles y las Calas. Todas se ven hermosas y son pequeñas. Para que tengan una idea, miden entre 12 y 14 cm de altura. Son livianas y se usa poquito material.

When dawn came I had already finished my three potted Calas, slept two more hours and got up to meet my sister. She tells me I should rest and stop knitting and crafting, but I get very restless. I try to read or just watch series and movies, but I cannot. My mind is also not calm when I am doing nothing. I hope you liked this super simple idea to make Calla lilies. They are very pretty flowers 😍 Now I know how to weave roses, daisies, sunflowers and Calla lilies. They all look beautiful and they are small. To give you an idea, they are about 12 to 14 cm tall. They are light and use very little material.
