MY NEW BANDANA MADE WITH BALTIC GRANNY.

Hola a todos. Bienvenidos a este mi espacio creativo. Siempre es un placer venir para compartirles mis creaciones recientes. En esta ocasión quiero mostrarles el proyecto DE GRANNYS que realicé como parte final de esta PRIMERA EDICIÓN de mi álbum de grannys. En el post pasado les prometí elegir uno de los diez primeros para hacer con él un nuevo proyecto. Ahora les voy a narrar y describir el proceso.

Hello everyone. Welcome to this my creative space. It is always a pleasure to come and share with you my recent creations. This time I want to show you the GRANNYS project I made as the final part of this FIRST EDITION of my grannys album. In the last post I promised you to choose one of the first ten to make a new project with it. Now I am going to narrate and describe the process.

Para este proyecto elegí el GRANNY BÁLTICO, les había comentado que fue uno de mis favoritos de todo el grupo. A pesar de tener múltiples opciones de tejido preferí realizar un artículo de necesidad para mí. Ahora debo usar bandanas así que aproveché de hacer una nueva y estrenarla en este mes por el día de las madres. Además quería una bandana, diadema o cintillo negro. La verdad es que me encantó hacerla.

Los materiales que usé son: hilo pabilo color negro, aguja de crochet de 3,50mm, aguja lanera, tijeras, tela de algodón color negro, aguja de coser, hilo de coser color negro.

For this project I chose the GRANNY BALTIC, I had told you that it was one of my favorites of the whole group. Despite having multiple knitting options I preferred to make a necessity item for me. Now I have to wear bandanas so I took the opportunity to make a new one and release it this month for Mother's Day. I also wanted a black bandana, headband or headband. The truth is that I loved making it.

The materials I used are: black thread, 3.50mm crochet needle, wool needle, scissors, black cotton fabric, sewing needle, black sewing thread.

Procedimiento.

Tejer un GRANNY siguiendo un gráfico como patrón es bastante sencillo. Decidí tejerlo con un gancho de 3,50mm para que el tejido quedara no muy apretado. A pesar de que el hilo pabilo es delgado lo pude tejer sin complicaciones. Solo seguir los puntos indicados en el patrón y el resultado es encantador. Para variar decidí colocarle un forro con tela de algodón color negro.

Knitting a GRANNY following a chart as a pattern is quite simple. I decided to knit it with a 3.50mm hook so that the fabric would not be too tight. Even though the wick yarn is thin, I was able to knit it without complications. Just follow the stitches indicated in the pattern and the result is lovely. For a change I decided to add a lining with black cotton fabric.

✍️ Una vez que tejí el primer GRANNY le realicé una vuelta de solo puntos bajos para reforzar el tejido. También calculé las medidas y tejí dos grannys más.

✍️ Once I knitted the first GRANNY I knitted a round of just single crochet to reinforce the fabric. I also calculated the measurements and knit two more grannies.

✍️ Una vez terminados los tres grannys los coloqué uno al lado del otro y los cosí con hilo pabilo para unirlos. Tomando los puntos externos de cada GRANNY los fui uniendo logrando una forma horizontal.

✍️ Once the three grannys were finished, I placed them side by side and sewed them together with wicking thread to join them. Taking the outer points of each GRANNY I joined them together to achieve a horizontal shape.

✍️ Por todo el borde de los tres grannys unidos tejí una vuelta de medios puntos altos. Luego en cada extremo del tejido realicé dos vueltas de puntos altos. La segunda con una disminución antes de empezar y antes de finalizar la vuelta. Cerré con punto deslizado, rematé, corté y escondí la hebra sobrante.
✍️ Después tomé la tela negra de algodón ya cortada al ancho del tejido de los grannys y del largo de mi preferencia. Con hilo de coser cosí esta tela para usarla como forro de mi diadema.
✍️ Es la primera vez que le coloco forro a un cintillo tejido. Me encantó la idea porque el largo sobrante de la tela lo usaré para amarrarla a mi cabeza. Se siente muy cómoda.

✍️ All around the edge of the three joined grannies I knit one row of half double crochet. Then at each end of the fabric I knit two rows of double crochet. The second with a decrease before the beginning and before the end of the row. I closed with a slip stitch, finished off, cut and hid the excess yarn.
✍️ Then I took the black cotton fabric already cut to the width of the granny weave and the length of my choice. With sewing thread I sewed this fabric together to use as a lining for my headband.
✍️ This is the first time I have used a lining for a woven headband. I loved the idea because I will use the leftover length of the fabric to tie it to my head. It feels very comfortable.

Es un poco difícil enfocar los tejidos de color negro por eso me ayudé con una aplicación de mejora de imágenes llamada Remini, es una que uso en casos como estos. El diseño del GRANNY es muy lindo. Usé poco hilo y el resultado final me fascina. ¿Qué dicen ustedes?

It's a little difficult to focus on the black fabrics so I used an image enhancement application called Remini, it's one I use in cases like this. The design of the GRANNY is very nice. I used very little yarn and the end result fascinates me, what do you say?
