Estas semanas mis procesos de diseño estuvieron entretenidos. Ni bien termino uno, empieza otro y otro y otro, y son distintos entre sí. Por lo general mientras diseño voy haciendo cambios al patrón y dándole un aspecto distinto al anterior. Aunque ahora una vez terminada la pieza, tejí otra versión con ligeros cambios. Esto no me había pasado antes. En resúmen, estoy poniéndole mayor énfasis a los tamaños finales de los diseños. ¡Veámos cómo fue esto!.
These weeks my design processes have been entertaining. As soon as I finish one, I start another and another and another, and they are different from each other. Usually while I'm designing I'm making changes to the pattern and giving it a different look from the previous one. Although now, once I finished the piece, I crocheted another version with slight changes. This has never happened to me before. In short, I'm putting more emphasis on the final sizes of the designs. Let's see how it went!.

Una vez con boceto en mano, la idea de tejer un zángano llavero (abeja macho) se me hizo sencillo. Cuando digo llavero, siento que mientras más pequeño mejor. Aunque, como este diseño está dirigido para las crocheteras, me parece que les agradan los llaveros grandes o quizá es lo que más se vende.
Once with sketch in hand, the idea of crocheting a keychain drone (male bee) became easy. When I say keychain, I feel that the smaller the better. Although, as this design is aimed at crocheters, it seems to me that they like big keychains, or maybe that's what sells best.
En este 2° intento, la idea fue agrandar el diseño. Se me ocurrió agregar al patrón 1" vuelta en general" (aumentos, vueltas continuas, tamaño de antenas, brazos, piernas y ojos). El resultado fue la imagen del medio. Si bien aumentó el tamaño, las proporciones se distorsionaron...Y llegó el 3° intento, aquí modifiqué el 2° diseño y volví a basarme en el boceto para mantener la escencia original (imagen derecha).
In this 2nd time, the idea was to enlarge the design. It occurred to me to add to the pattern 1" turn in general" (increases, continuous rounds, size of antennae, arms, legs and eyes). The result was the image in the middle. Although the size was increased, the proportions were distorted... And then came the 3rd time, here I modified the 2nd design and went back to the sketch to keep the original essence (right image).
Una vez lista la versión final, tocó grabar el video para mi canal en YouTube y estará saliendo en estos días. El video es de 3 partes: Materiales, cabeza y cuerpo, y extremidades y detalles. Esta vez coloqué subtitulado el patrón por escrito, hago esto cuando tengo dificultades con el audio (este tema está fuera de mi alcance, sino son los perros son los estridentes vendedores ambulantes, jaja).
Once the final version was ready, it was time to record the video for my channel on YouTube and it will be coming out in these days. The video is in 3 parts: materials, head and body, and limbs and details. This time I subtitled the pattern in writing, I do this when I have difficulties with the audio (this subject is out of my reach, if it's not the dogs it's the street vendors, jaja).
Como mencioné al inicio, esta vez estoy replanteando los tamaños finales. Esto es porque cambió mi manera de tejer, ahora tejo mucho más apretado, reduciendo de forma considerable los tamaños que antes manejaba. Por eso me estoy tomando mas tiempo en sacar los patrones. ¡Paciencia y a adaptarse!.
As I mentioned at the beginning, this time I am considering the final sizes. This is because I have changed the way I crochet, now I crochet much tighter, reducing considerably the sizes I used to work with before. That's why I'm taking more time to get the patterns out. So patience and adapt!
