Buen día hivers, espero estén teniendo un buen Abril, por aca emocionalmente he estado un poco desenfocada y bastante agotada entre varias cosas, lo cual me ha dejado un poco alejada de las manualidades, si he escrito mucho, como desahogo y para ordenar mi cabeza. También me ha servido esta situación para salir y ver otro tipo de estimulación para mi creatividad, sin embargo, nada me ha hecho sentir también como escuchar la invitación de mi sobrino para ayudarle con una tarea de la escuela, su voz y picardía hizo saltar mi corazón.
Good morning hivers, I hope you are having a good April. Around here emotionally I have been a little unfocused and quite exhausted between several things, which has left me a little away from the crafts. But I have written a lot, as an outlet and to sort my head. It has also helped me to get out and see other types of stimulation for my creativity, however, nothing has made me feel as good as hearing my nephew's invitation to help him with a school assignment, his voice and mischievousness made my heart skip a beat.
Su tarea trata de hacer un animal abdominal, como una marioneta sencilla la cual usarán para expresar sus emociones. Definitivamente, nada es casual, yo atravesando mis emociones en silencio y él me da esta vía de desahogo con las manualidades, definitivamente ha sido un regalo de Dios, para yo reconectar con mi arte después de casi 1 mes.
Their assignment is to make an abdominal animal, like a simple puppet which they will use to express their emotions. Definitely, nothing is casual, me going through my emotions in silence and him giving me this outlet with the crafts, it has definitely been a gift from God, for me to reconnect with my art after almost 1 month.
Mi sobrino decidió hacer una oruga, para ella usamos un calcetín viejo, cordón delgado, algodón de relleno, ojitos, tijeras, varilla decorativa, pompones afelpados y silicon caliente. El primer paso fue reunir los materiales, luego rellenamos el calcetín con el algodón de forma que quedara firme pero suave a la vez, con el cordón cerramos el calcetín.
My nephew decided to make a caterpillar, for it we used an old sock, thin string, cotton stuffing, eyes, scissors, decorative rod, plush pom poms and hot silicon. The first step was to gather the materials, then we stuffed the sock with the cotton so that it was firm but soft at the same time, with the string we closed the sock.
Luego, con ayuda del mismo cordón, le dimos forma al cuerpo de la oruga, haciendo bolitas mientras amarramos a lo largo del calcetín. Luego para las antenas de la oruga emocional usamos el alambre decorativo el cual fue fácil de ubicar con solo unir y dar vuelta, así quedó asegurado en la cabeza, también torcimos un poco las puntas de las antenas para darle una forma más bonita.
Then, with the help of the same cord, we shaped the body of the caterpillar, making little balls while tying along the sock. Then for the antennae of the emotional caterpillar we used the decorative wire which was easy to place by just joining and turning, so it was secured on the head, we also twisted a little the tips of the antennae to give it a nicer shape.
Ahora viene la parte donde nos divertimos más, que fue la decoración, primero hicimos el rostro pegando los ojitos y usando parte del alambre decorativo para la sonrisa, también unos pompones pegamos como nariz y mejillas, mi sobrino eligió los colores y también decidió decorar el cuerpo de la oruga emocional con mas pompones. Y, así quedó la tarea que tanto me ayudó a reconectarme con mi creatividad. Mis sobrinos son sin duda una vitamina importante en mi vida.
Now comes the part where we had the most fun, which was the decoration, first we made the face by gluing the eyes and using part of the decorative wire for the smile, we also glued some pompoms as nose and cheeks, my nephew chose the colors and also decided to decorate the body of the emotional caterpillar with more pompoms. And, that's how the task that helped me so much to reconnect with my creativity turned out. My nephews are without a doubt an important vitamin in my life.
