Estoy muy contenta porque esta semana he podido realizar cosas muy positivas en referencia a mi emprendimiento y a mi aprendizaje. Más sin embargo, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la elaboración de una prenda infantil que me ha encantado por su color, tela y pequeña forma dulce. Se trata de una Leggins de Bebé con Lazos, es sin dudarlo una lindura para combinar con una blusa o armilla.
I am very happy because this week I have been able to do very positive things in reference to my entrepreneurship and my learning. However, today I want to share with you the making of a children's garment that I loved for its color, fabric and sweet little shape. These are Baby Leggings with Bows, they are without a doubt cute to combine with a blouse or armband.
Elaborar ropa de bebé y accesorios es algo que me llena grandemente de felicidad y satisfacción. Cada paso va acompañado de mucho ánimo, detalle, atención y un poco de mi en cada cosa que realizo. Estas lindas leggins o también pudiendo tomarle como lo que en mi país le llamamos "monos", es muy tierno y útil para abrigar bien a los bebés en días de frío o simplemente para que no se rasguen las rodillas.
Making baby clothes and accessories is something that fills me greatly with happiness and satisfaction. Each step is accompanied by a lot of encouragement, detail, attention and a little of me in everything I do. These cute leggings, or even what we call "monkeys" in my country, are very cute and useful for keeping babies warm on cold days or simply so they don't tear their knees.
Para elaborar esta linda pieza usé como referencia un antiguo mono de mi nieta, lo encontré mientras arreglaba algunas cosas en casa, movía los "perepere" como le dicen aquí y me topé con un mono básico. En cuanto a la tela usé Microdurazno Heavy, hilo básico de coser en tono con la tela, tijeras y mi máquina de coser. Los detalles que he agregado y considero le dan un toque a la pieza de más ternura, son un par de lazos en las terminales de cada pierna. Mi pensamiento es vender esta pieza en set con una diadema hecha en el mismo material, pero aún no le he confeccionado.
To make this beautiful piece I used an old jumpsuit of my granddaughter's as a reference, I found it while I was fixing some things at home, I moved the "perepere" as they call it here and I came across a basic jumpsuit. As for the fabric, I used Micropeach Heavy, basic sewing thread in tone with the fabric, scissors and my sewing machine. The details that I have added and I consider give the piece a more tender touch are a pair of bows at the ends of each leg. My thought is to sell this piece as a set with a headband made of the same material, but I have not made it yet.

Proceso de Creación / Creation Process
Cortamos las piezas que necesitaremos, en este caso dos principales que serían por decir uno de cada pierna. Un listón para la pretina, que de grosor tiene aproximadamente 10 centímetros. Un par de rectángulos que miden 15x10 cm. Y un par de centros para el lazo en la parte media, siendo de 3x6 cm. Iniciamos bien ahora el armado, enfrentamos derecho con derecho las piezas principales abiertas y cosemos por la parte superior del tiro, tanto del frente como por detrás.
We cut the pieces that we will need, in this case two main ones, which would be, say, one from each leg. A ribbon for the waistband, which is approximately 10 centimeters thick. A pair of rectangles measuring 15x10 cm. And a couple of centers for the bow in the middle part, being 3x6 cm. We now start the assembly well, we face the main open pieces right to right and sew along the top of the shot, both from the front and from the back.
Movemos las piezas, las costuras al centro y la hacemos coincidir muy bien, para unir todo lo que sería la entrepierna y pierna. Podemos iniciar la costura desde el centro a los lados, o quizás de una pierna a la otra pierna, teniendo cuidado con las costuras centrales que deben coincidir.
We move the pieces, the seams to the center and we match them very well, to join everything that would be the crotch and leg. We can start sewing from the center to the sides, or perhaps from one leg to the other leg, taking care that the central seams must coincide.

Seguidamente procedemos a colocar el listón para la pretina. Como es una tela elástica, podemos usarle sin goma, más sin embargo es dependiendo de como os guste la leggins. Desde mi parecer, es mucho más cómodo para la bebé sin la elástica. Para usar el listón de la tela como pretina, debemos tener en cuenta que al coserla o unirla, debemos tirar o halar un poco del mismo, para que el pueda "recoger" y comportarse de manera elástica. Teniendo doblado el listón, le enfrentamos al derecho de la pieza y cosemos por todo el contorno, iniciando con recta. Cortamos excedentes y después pasamos zig zag. Cosemos las terminales del listón, para unirles.
Next we proceed to place the ribbon for the waistband. As it is an elastic fabric, we can use it without elastic, but it depends on how you like the leggings. In my opinion, it is much more comfortable for the baby without the elastic. To use the fabric ribbon as a waistband, we must keep in mind that when sewing or joining it, we must pull or pull it a little, so that it can "pick up" and behave elastically. Having folded the ribbon, we face it to the right side of the piece and sew around the entire contour, starting with a straight line. We cut excess and then we zig zag. We sew the ends of the ribbon to join them.

Ahora esta casi listo, cosemos el dobladillo en la parte inferior de cada pierna.
Now it's almost ready, we sew the hem at the bottom of each leg.
Pasamos ahora a coser los rectángulos para armar los lazos. Enfrentando derechos y en doblez, cosemos por el costado. Esta costura la llevamos al centro y ahora cosemos por los laterales. Abrimos un pequeño agujero en el centro, volteamos la pieza y con aguja e hilo, pasamos una costura de 5 puntadas en el centro. Fruncimos y aseguramos con un nudo. Tomamos la cinta del centro, llevamos extremos al centro y colocamos el listón bien armado en el centro, cosemos en la parte trasera para fijar. Solo nos resta unir los lazos a la leggins, tratando que nos queden ambos lazos al mismo nivel.
We now move on to sewing the rectangles to assemble the ties. Facing right sides and folding, we sew along the side. We take this seam to the center and now we sew on the sides. We open a small hole in the center, turn the piece over and with a needle and thread, we sew a 5-stitch seam in the center. We gather and secure with a knot. We take the ribbon from the center, we bring the ends to the center and place the well-assembled ribbon in the center, we sew on the back to secure. We only have to attach the ties to the leggings, trying to ensure that both ties are at the same level.
