[Esp/Eng]Realizando una Mascara de Elefante// Making an Elephant Mask
Saludos amigos de esta gran comunidad de artesanos y manualistas #hivediy hoy como siempre vengo a participar con una creativa manualidad, hoy les compartiré como realice una máscara de elefante espero que sea de su agrado
Esta máscara me la pidió una compañera de trabajo para su hijo que tenia una exposicion, y como soy una mujer que acepta cualquier reto yo encantada le dije que si se la podía realizar ya que era con material de reciclaje y es allí donde yo me destaco y le dije que si que contara con esa máscara
Los materiales que utilice son los siguientes:
- Una caja de cartón
- Tijera
- Pincel
- Pintura al frío
- Papel de reciclaje
- Papel sanitario
El primer paso a realizar fue cortar varias tiras de cartón para formar lo que seria la primera estructura de la cabeza del elefante que será la máscara, tomando en cuenta las medidas de la cabeza del niño para que no le quedara muy grande
Aparte había realizado mi super pegamento que consta de dos cucharadas de harina de trigo en dos tazas de agua y se cocina al espesar se apaga y se deja enfriar para su uso
Corte dos láminas de cartón que posteriormente serán las orejas y también realice la estructura de lo que será la trompa del elefante
Ya con un poco de paciencia fui colocando las hojas de reciclaje sobre el esqueleto de la mascara, tambien fui moldeando las trompa colocando varias capas de papel y mi super pegamento, luego lo lleve al sol por varias horas para que endureciera
Ya mi máscara había tomado la forma del elefante, ahora fui pegando el papel sanitario, sobre la máscara con esta técnica le da la textura de la piel arrugada característico de los elefantes y lleve nuevamente al sol para que secara nuevamente
Llega la hora de pintar de gris color característico de los elefantes le di una primera mano y lo lleve al sol a secar para luego darle una segunda mano de pintura
Para los colmillos del elefante use dos trozos de anime a los cuales moldee con un cuter o cuchillo como el anime es blanco no tengo que colocarle pintura
Pegue los colmillos con la ayuda de la pistola de silicon caliente y listo había terminado con la mascara del elefante para el hijo de mi compañera de trabajo

Apart I had made my super glue which consists of two tablespoons of wheat flour in two cups of water and cooked to thicken it is turned off and allowed to cool for use
Cut two sheets of cardboard that will later become the ears and also make the structure of what will be the elephant's trunk
Now with a little patience I was placing the recycled leaves on the skeleton of the mask, I was also molding the trunk by placing several layers of paper and my super glue, then I took it to the sun for several hours to harden
My mask had already taken the shape of the elephant, now I was gluing the toilet paper on the mask with this technique gives it the texture of wrinkled skin characteristic of elephants and I took it back to the sun to dry again
It was time to paint the elephant's characteristic gray color. I gave it a first coat and took it to the sun to dry and then gave it a second coat of paint
For the elephant's tusks I used two pieces of anime which I molded with a cutter or knife as the anime is white I don't have to put paint on it
I glued the tusks with the help of the hot glue gun and I was done with the elephant mask for my co-worker's son
