ENGLISH CONTENT
Hello to all lovers of crafts, especially sewing! Hasn't it happened to you that you have among your scraps of fabric, pieces of pieces that you don't know how to use? Sometimes it just takes a little imagination and ingenuity to create something nice that can be used again.
On this occasion, I come to show you some wristbands that I made in the style cottagecore, which is a style of clothing and life, which It takes as a reference to nature, tranquility and the romance that this implies. I am fascinated by this style, so I am interested in creating clothing and accessories for my personal use.
The idea of making this craft arose this morning, while I was doing some repair work on some items of clothing. I found some scraps of woven fabric that came from a shirt. It brought back some feelings in me, given that it was some of the scraps of fabric that a friend of mine who was a seamstress gave me. I imagine that she cut those wristbands from a shirt, because she thought that they could be recycled later, they even had the buttons on:
I had thought about using the same buttonholes, but when trying to remove the buttons, I realized that it was an impossible task (probably the buttons were sewn on top of them), so unfortunately I had to cut the buttonholes to be able to open the pieces 🙃 Then, I unstitched the excess that corresponded to the shirt from which the wristbands were obtained.
Since my wrists are very small, I had to cut almost half of each piece to fit the shape of my arm. Then, I sewed a hem on the side where I made the cut and sewed a lace at the bottom. I remembered that I had a kind of embroidered ribbon that was brown, so I sewed some pieces on the edges to make it more attractive.
I also remembered that a long time ago, a friend gave me some flower embroidery, which I thought combined very well with the color of the fabric, so I sewed a few embroideries to the pieces. In order to close it, I created new buttonholes using the same ribbon that I used to decorate the edges of the wristbands. I took the size of the button and made sure there was enough room to remove the button. I sewed these pieces by hand.
To finish, I also hand sewed some flower-shaped sequins and some gold beads.
I really loved the result. I urgently need new pieces of jewelry and among them, bracelets. With these wristbands, I could give my outfit a subtle and interesting touch. I would like to make more wristbands of this type, but since I don't have any more woven fabric, I will set myself the task of learning how to knit haha. I am excited about what I can create with the pieces of fabric and different materials that I have been waiting for for a long time. years to use them 😅
Remember: Before throwing away anything, ask yourself if it really could have another use. Many of the things that I have been able to transform, at some point were seen as garbage. Recycling is an art ✨

¡Hola a todos los amantes de las manualidades, sobre todo, de la costura! ¿No les ha pasado que tienen entre sus retazos de tela, trozos de piezas que no saben cómo usar? A veces sólo hace falta un poco de imaginación e ingenio para crear algo lindo que pueda ser utilizado de nuevo.
En ésta oportunidad, les vengo a mostrar unas muñequeras que realicé al estilo cottagecore, el cual es un estilo de vestimenta y de vida, el cual toma como referencia a la naturaleza, la tranquilidad y lo romántico que esto implica. Me fascina éste estilo, así que estoy interesada en crearme prendas y accesorios para mi uso personal.
La idea de realizar esta manualidad surgió ésta mañana, mientras me encontraba realizando unas labores de arreglo a algunas prendas de ropa. Me encontré con unos retazos de tela tejida que provenían de una camisa. Me trajo algunos sentimientos, dado que se trataba de alguno de los retazos de tela que me regaló una amiga mía que era costurera. Me imagino que cortó aquellas muñequeras de una camisa, porque le pareció que podría reciclarse luego, incluso, tenían los botones puestos:
Había pensado en usar los mismos ojales, pero al tratar de sacar los botones, me di cuenta de que era una labor imposible (seguramente los botones se cosieron encima de los mismos), así que lamentablemente tuve que cortar los ojales para poder abrir las piezas 🙃 luego, descosí el sobrante que correspondía a la camisa de la cual, se obtuvieron las muñequeras.
Como mis muñecas son muy pequeñas, tuve que cortar casi la mitad de cada pieza para que tuvieran el contorno de mi brazo. Luego, cosí un dobladillo en el lateral en donde realicé el corte y cosí en la parte inferior, un encaje. Recordé que tenía una especie de cinta bordada que tenía color marrón, así que le cosí unos trozos en los bordes para darle más vistosidad.
Recordé también que hace tiempo, un amigo me regaló unos bordados de flores, que pensé, combinaban muy bien con el color del tejido, así que cosí unos cuantos bordados a las piezas. Para poder cerrarlo, creé unos nuevos ojales utilizando la misma cinta que usé para la decoración de los bordes de las muqueñeras. Tomé el tamaño del botón y me aseguré de que hubiera espacio suficiente para sacar el mismo. Estás piezas las cosí a mano.
Para finalizar, cosí también a mano algunas lentejuelas con forma de flores y unas mostacillas de color dorado.
Realmente amé mucho el resultado. Necesito con urgencia nuevas piezas de bisutería y entre ellas, pulseras. Con estas muñequeras, podría darle a mi outfit un toque sutil e interesante. Me gustaría hacerme más muñequeras de éste tipo, pero como no tengo más tela tejida, me pondré la tarea de aprender a tejer jaja Estoy animada con respecto a lo que pueda llegar a crear con los trozos de tela y distintos materiales que tengo esperando desde hace años a que los utilice 😅
Recuerden: Antes de desechar cualquier cosa, pregúntense si realmente no podría tener otra utilidad. Muchas de las cosas que he podido transformar, en algún momento fueron vistas como basura. El reciclaje es un arte ✨
