Iniciativa Holos&lotus: Yo no
Hay tantas cosas que puedo ver que la gente dice y que me harían sentir "no soy yo". Esto significa que no puedo ser esa persona, sin importar la condición.
Cuando todavía estaba en la escuela secundaria, siempre me presentaba a mis exámenes solo y sin la ayuda de nadie. Asimismo, no me encanta hacer trampa, incluso si veo la pregunta en vivo antes del inicio de los exámenes. Creo que todos sabían que yo era esa persona. Alguien se me acercó y me dijo: "¿No crees que llevas algunos papeles que te implicarían en la sala de exámenes?". Aunque sentí que era sólo una pregunta, ese no era yo, y de cualquier manera, nunca podré ser yo.
Otro volvió y dijo: "Te vi haciendo trampa en la sala de exámenes". Ningún herbolario le diría que ese era yo, ni siquiera el adivino, porque ese no era yo y nunca seré yo, ni siquiera hasta este momento.
Para ser sincero, cualquier cosa que se llame robar no forma parte de mí ni de mis tratos. Tomar algo que no me pertenece no está en mi sangre y nunca podrá ser la forma de mi vida. La vida está llena de preguntas, y hay tantas preguntas que resultarían falsas sobre alguien. Esta es la razón por la que a la mayoría de la gente siempre le resulta tan falso creer a sus semejantes.
"Te vi en el campo jugando al fútbol durante el entrenamiento de fútbol de la mañana", me dijo mi amigo un fatídico día. Lo cierto es que amo el fútbol, pero no hasta el punto de entrar al campo a jugar. Jugar al fútbol es No soy parte de mí, y ni siquiera tengo la pasión de serlo. Esto demuestra que “no soy yo”. Cuando era niño, estaba tan perdido en el ámbito del fútbol que me rompí un tobillo. Desde entonces, he prometido no volver a jugar al fútbol. Así que supongo que ese no soy yo.

Siempre he vivido para no cortarme el pelo excepto recortándolo. Ver a otro mirarme como si me hubiera cortado el pelo no soy ni podré ser nunca yo. Se ha vuelto parte de mí dejar mi cabello siempre como está. La gente me seguía preguntando si había algún motivo para ello, no hay ningún motivo para dejarme el pelo, pero es lo que amo.
En la vida, todos sabemos con certeza qué y qué no podemos hacer.

Holos&lotus Initiative 23: Not Me
There are so many things that I can see people saying that would make me feel “not me.” This means I can't be such a person, no matter the condition.
When I was still in high school, I always sat for my exams alone and without the help of anyone. Likewise, I don't love cheating, even if I see the live question before the start of exams. I think everyone knew me to be such a person. Someone came to me and said, “Don't you think you carry some papers that would implicate you in the exam hall?” Although I felt it was just a question, that was not me, and in any way, it can never be me.
Another one came again and said, “I saw you cheating in the exam hall.” No herbalist would tell him that that was me, not even the soothsayer, as that was not me and will never be me, even up to this moment.
To be sincere, anything called stealing is not part of me or my dealings. Taking something that does not belong to me is not in my blood and can never be the way of my life. “You have stolen your friend's sandals," Mohammed said. That's not me. “You know I can't do something so stupid as such, so that cannot be me," I replied to her.
“There is Ogbono soup kept on the table for you, and you refused to eat it," my wife said. It was so obvious that it was not me just because I could not do without Ogbono soup, which, I felt, could go with swallowing. That is my best food, and no one would use it to tempt me without falling.
Another of my friends came up and said, “Friend! I saw you in the club sitting with a woman having a serious conversation and even kissing her in public." I have always told my wife that I cannot cheat on her, and I have always maintained that fact no matter what.
Life is just full of questions, and there are so many questions that would turn out to be false about someone. This is why most people always find it so untrue to believe their fellows.
“I saw you on the pitch playing football during the football practice in the morning," my friend said to me one fateful day. The fact remained that I love football, but not to the extent of entering the field to play. Playing football is not part of me, and I don't even have the passion to be one. This shows that “it's not me.” Growing up as a child, I was so lost in the realm of football that I got one of my ankles broken. Ever since then, I have vowed not to play football again. So, I guess that's not me.
“Why must you be rude to your teacher? Why are you lacking manners and never want to learn from your past mistakes?” All those words are not meant for me, as I always obey my teachers and can never look down on them.
I have always lived to keep my hair not cut except by trimming it. Seeing another look at me as if I have cut my hair is not and can never be me. It has become part of me to always leave my hair the way it is. People kept asking me if there was a reason for it, there is no reason for leaving my hair, but it is what I love.
In life, we all know what and what we cannot do for sure.

Muchas gracias por sumarte a esta iniciativa. La honestidad está presente en todo lo que haces, no copiar en un examen, no tomar nada ajeno, no traiccionar a tu esposa. Alguna gente suele suponer y no cuidar lo que dice. Y muy cierto, todos sabemos muy bien qué podemos o no hacer.
