Cuando de compartir se trata, un abanico de ideas y ejemplos pueden venir a la mente que pudieran representar de diversas maneras conceptuales el acto que presupone esa palabra.
Para muchos solo se trata de dar una parte de algo que se tiene desde el punto de vista material a otra persona que lo necesite, dígase ropa, comida, medicamentos, utensilios, etcétera.
Por supuesto, existen visiones conceptuales más amplias que no solo generan la acción a partir de la necesidad ajena y a la vez se ha asociado la palabra a acciones de interacción social, por ejemplo, aquí en Pinar del Río, donde vivo, a veces las amistades se sientan en un bar u otro lugar a "compartir", que es su manera de bautizar al hecho de quedar para beber unos tragos, picar algo, escuchar música y conversar con amigos, a veces sin saber, si se les pregunta, ¿ qué es lo que están compartiendo? Si comenzamos a analizar desde varias perspectivas las diversas aristas de la palabra "compartir", podríamos no terminar, pero le daré una breve mirada desde mi perspectiva personal.
Es digno de valorar y admirar el acto solidario de compartir -de forma material- con quien lo necesita, brindar ayuda de esa manera, dar apoyo, contribuir de alguna manera al alivio de la carga que presupone para esa persona la solución total o parcial del problema que lo aqueja, de donde sea que provenga la necesidad, que por lo general esta asociada a limitaciones de algún tipo. En ese sentido dar es compartir y viceversa.
Pero, ¿y si le damos una mirada dirigida a otros ámbitos?Los maestros, por ejemplo, esas personas que desde niños nos enseñan con amor, paciencia y dedicación, intentando de la manera más efectiva transmitir sus conocimientos. ¿ No es ese proceso de transmisión cognoscitiva una manera de compartir?, yo creo que si.
Los artistas en cualquiera de sus manifestaciones y formas de expresión, al exponer ante el mundo su talento, su arte, su obra, sus sentimientos más profundos e íntimos, a partir de los cuales emana su creación, están, desde mi punto de vista, compartiendo con el alma desnuda y de una hermosa manera, que también es contributiva al bienestar y satisfacción de aquellos que prefieren y siguen su trabajo, aquellos que quizás de alguna manera se han sentido inspirados por alguna de sus obras, o que tal vez aprendieron de alguna de las experiencias, buenas o malas, que un artista en su particular forma de expresión expuso.
Amar es, según mi opinión, también una manera de compartir, lo es rescatar y cuidar animales, así como lo es reír, expresar una opinión, dar un consejo, sembrar una planta, expresar agradecimiento, en fin, hay tantas maneras de hacerlo que me llevan al pensamiento de que compartir es más que dar.

In that sense, giving is sharing and vice versa.
But, what if we take a look at other areas? Teachers, for example, those persons who, since we were children, teach us with love, patience and dedication, trying to transmit their knowledge in the most effective way. Isn't that process of cognitive transmission a way of sharing? I think it is.
Artists in any of their manifestations and forms of expression, by exposing to the world their talent, their art, their work, their deepest and most intimate feelings, from which their creation emanates, are, from my point of view, sharing with the naked soul and in a beautiful way, which is also contributory to the well-being and satisfaction of those who prefer and follow their work, those who perhaps in some way have been inspired by some of these art works, or who perhaps learned from some of the experiences, good or bad, that an artist in his particular form of expression exposed.
Love is, in my opinion, also a way of sharing, it is rescuing and caring for animals, just as it is laughing, expressing an opinion, giving advice, planting a plant, expressing gratitude, in short, there are so many ways to do it that they lead me to the thought that sharing is more than giving.
