Saludos amigos y amantes de la fotografía y la naturaleza. Hace solamente unos minutos me asomé al balcón de la parte trasera del edificio donde vivo para contemplar un espectáculo natural que si bien es cotidiano no deja de causarme admiración: el ocaso del sol.

Ese momento en el que la lumbrera gigante de los cielos diurnos se dispone a ocultarse bajo el horizonte para dar lugar a la noche es siempre majestuoso. Los cielos se tiñen de los tonos del crepúsculo producidos por la dispersión de la luz solar en la baja atmósfera, y en días en los que ésta se encuentra cargada de vapor de agua e impurezas del aire, el sol puede ser observado como un hermoso disco amarillento a simple vista.

Tal fue el caso de hoy, por lo que decidí tomar unas instantáneas del sol en el momento próximo a su puesta bajo el horizonte, junto con otras fotografías tras su ocultación. Simplemente un momento del día lleno de belleza y majestuosidad.

Greetings friends and lovers of photography and nature. Just a few minutes ago I looked out from the balcony at the back of the building where I live to contemplate a natural spectacle that, although it is an everyday occurrence, never ceases to amaze me: the setting of the sun.

That moment when the giant light of the daytime skies is about to hide below the horizon to give way to the night is always majestic. The skies are tinged with the tones of twilight produced by the dispersion of sunlight in the lower atmosphere, and on days when the atmosphere is laden with water vapor and air impurities, the sun can be seen as a beautiful yellowish disc with the naked eye.

Such was the case today, so I decided to take some snapshots of the sun just as it was about to set below the horizon, along with other photographs after it had set. Simply a moment of the day full of beauty and majesty.
