There are several types of juggling, in this case the girl in the picture is doing a variation of Poi juggling. This type of juggling is quite old, it comes from New Zealand of the Maori ethnic group. This was originally a dance they did with knives with fire and over time changes and variations emerged.

Este tipo de malabares es bastante antiguo, proviene de Nueva Zelanda de la etnia Maorí. As I was saying before, there are several types of Poi juggling. There are some with chains and at the end a cloth that they catch on fire, there are also canes that also have fire at each end and there is this type that is like a "fan" where there are 3 canes united on an axis and each end has a ball with fire. If you want to learn how to juggle without using fire but would still like to have light, there are options that make them with LED lights.
Como les decía anteriormente, hay varios tipos de malabares Poi. Los hay con cadenas y en la punta una tela que prenden con fuego, también hay bastones que en cada punta igualmente tienen fuego y está este tipo que es como un “abanico” donde son 3 bastones unidos en un eje y cada punta tiene una pelota con fuego. Si quieres aprender a hacer estos malabares sin usar fuego pero igual quisieras tener luz, hay opciones que los fabrican con luces led.
