The current Splinterland’s asset prices are in a lull. We see that although game is still active the price of cards have been struggling to keep value. So what could juice up interest? Can it be a spin-off game?
Soulkeep has been in the making for what I believe is years now. To those who first invested in the game through pack purchases. The game remains to be in development but it appears progress has been made and test version will soon roll out. The signs are there and I am hopeful.

Fellow Hive Blogger @intrepidsurfer gave us a sneak peak of the white paper to soul keep. From the snapshots I am very interested in playing the new game. I would hope to many other fans of the Splinterland game would also be in Soulkeep.
Other than the recent month were we saw Noghtmare packs hitting new low prices it has bounced up and remains on annual average price near $2 a pack. This is not anywhere close to Nightmare initial public offering price but remains pretty stable. This to me makes it appear that demand for its packs remain solid.
As of now there is less than 5000 players who hold any Nightmare packs per peakmonster’s top holder list. It would be even less for most amount of packs held by few accounts. Of course this makes a supply and demand imbalance and it remains to be seen if Soulkeep can boost pack demands.
I personally hold a reasonable amount of packs and continue to do so to collect the daily staked sps. The roi on sps airdrop for holding Nightmare is just far outpacing any other way to earn sps in Splinterlands. Of course it can’t beat buying sps directly but I am in it for the long haul.
There seems to be less and less packs out in the open markets as price swings to the upside continue to come in. This is all on the back of a rough patch in Splinterlands gives me great hope that when indeed Soulkeep does come out that the Nightmare packs will storm up in price.

Buy has always been my route with sps. Think long term it will rise in value. Pack prices are near lows so a bit more risk if buy packs now but in crypto space there is always a lot of risk.

It's nice to see prices go up, but do you think the prices will drop once the game comes out? I guess the hype is helping out.
I would think demand soaring if game does come out. That is the bet I’m willing to take.
