Yesterday (11/17/2023) the presale of Rebellion Booster Packs had concluded. The race for the top six spots on the leaderboard was an interesting one as those aiming for such spots try to best maneuver their purchases in a way that doesn't allow their competition to over-take them. The last hour or so of the presale was especially interesting as onlookers watched enthusiastically to see who slides in and out of the top six places. In the end it was YGGSPL-POOL, ABROCKMAN, BRAVETOFU, BULLDOG1205, CRYP71X and LORKUS who secured the right to help design a REBELLION Legendary Summoner. Congrats to those who made it in the top six spots and congrats to the Splinterlands team and general Splinterlands community on a very successful Pre-Sale. Roughly 493,000 Presale packs sold out of the 500,000 that were available. There were a few last minute purchases that didn't go through due to players making the purchase too late (FOMO is a real thing). I'm content enough with those numbers to claim that the Rebellion presale was a "Sell Out".
The above was just one of many added prizes for participants. Other prizes included but are not limited to: Top 250 Pre-Sale Rebellion Pack purchasers received a specialty item. That item or better put that asset is none other than a title. Rank 1-30 were awarded the title of DAWNBRINGER. Rank 31-100 were awarded the title of DEFIANT. Rank 101-250 were awardd the title of REBEL. If that wasn't enough there was also exclusive NFT's that can be used in-game called MANTAROTH and GRIMBARDUN SMITH on offer. We won't bother going over all the details in what was added as incentive for those who participated in the presale. For every 10 Rebellion booster packs purchased during the presale, including bonus packs available with bulk purchases, players will receive one Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare card! Each Grimbardun Smith card received will have a 4% chance of being a Gold Foil version of the card, and players will be guaranteed to receive at least one Gold Foil version of the card for every 250 Rebellion booster packs purchased during the presale. So what is next? Did you miss your chance to participate but still want to get your hands on some Rebellion Packs? No worries the general sale will start in just 16 Days. What is the best added bonus of the General Sale? Well, if you ask me its the fact that General Sale packs cost the same as presale packs so you won't be charged an extra premium for not getting in on the earlier presale pack event.
There will be a total of 9.5M Rebellion packs available during the general sale, and the pricing and bulk purchase bonuses will be the same as described in the pricing section above. Every day, starting on the date that the Rebellion set is released, if fewer than 25,000 (25k) Rebellion booster packs are sold that day, the remainder of the booster packs (up to 25k total) will be removed from the sale pool. Of the packs removed from the sale pool each day, 90% will be burned and 10% will be sent to the DAO for use in future promotions or however the SPS token holders wish.
