Introduction

Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

This will be my first entry for this weeks Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Heavy Hitters. This is a ruleset were all monsters have the Knock Out ability.

The Battle that I will show for this was from my @agonyaccepted which an alternate account that I am playing is currently playing on the diamond league.

but before I reveal the battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.

Use a monster with stun.png Stun ability.
There is a 50% chance that your monster with Stun will be able to stun enemy monsters, but if successful, all your monsters will deal double damage to that stunned opponent.

Some Cards with Stun Ability:

These were the sample of cards that will give the stun to the opponent and when it takes effect, all attacks toward that monster would be doubled.

This battle comes with a 99 mana cap where the active rulesets were Little League, Lost Legendaries and the featured ruleset for this week which was Heavy Hitters. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:

Summoner: Quix the Devious - This summoner reduces the speed and the range damage of all the opponent monsters by -1 and lets me use Dragon units together with the element of my choice which on this case was Water.

  • 1st Position: Cruel Sethropod - Has good amount of health and armor for a 3- mana card, making it a good melee tank although it does not have any abilities that it can use.

  • 2nd Position: Tide Biter A melee monster that comes with Reach which allows it to attack even at the second position together with Reflection Shield which makes it immune from reflected and blast damage while also have True Strike which makes its attack to not miss the target.

  • 3rd Position: Dhampir Infiltrator - This melee monster has the Sneak ability which allows it to attack backline monster twice as it also has Double Strike. At the same time, it has Cripple which reduces the health of the target and Affliction which prevents them from being healed.

  • 4th Position: Uraeus - The second melee monster with the Sneak ability together with Poison which will inflict -2 damage on a target every beginning of the turn.

  • 5th Position: Pelacor Bandit - The third monster with the Sneak ability and comes with Flying which increases its evasion chance by 25%.

  • 6th Position: Clockwork Aide - Does not have any damage but has Swiftness which increases the speed of all ally monsters by +1 and Rust which removes -2 armor on all opponent monsters.

Battle Recap

Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.

Heavy Hitters.png

Did My Strategy Work?

It is good to have a monster with Stun when there is Heavy Hitters ruleset within a match since all the attack can be doubled when attacking a stuned monster but sometimes, we can also just ignore it and focus with our attacks like within this battle that even if I do not have any monsters with Stun I was still able to defeat my opponent by focusing my attacks to the back of my opponent which also eventually ended up to defeat his monster with Stun, making the Knock out ability useless.

That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
