Apart from stacking silver which is just buying (reputable) coins as close to spot as possible for their intrinsic silver value you can also look for collection items that carry a premium.
Below collector coin I bought in 2022;
I thought about this coin as today it was announced that the Royal Mint issues another 2024 restrike of this historic Dutch tradecoin in 2024.
They come in proof 1 ounce (EUR 99) , 2 ounce piedfort (EUR 199) and in 1 and 2 ounce gold. Needless to say that the gold is a bit expensive!
The packaging is a tin with a ship painting which I really like.
2024 coins I add from the KNM website (I do not have rights albeit they will not mind spreading the word)
In 2024 they use the weapon of the Province Gelderland whereas mine has Zeeland Province on it. The face value is 6 st meaning 6 stuivers, an old currency in the low countries like guilders and daalders.
The design is made by a computer that uses the best foto's of old shillings that survived. The coins at the time were not meant to be very pretty. They were minted quickly and the silver content had to be spot on.
