Introduction
This small paragraph, despite being repetitive, is necessary to show what motivated me to make this type of post. Motivated by a comment from the founder of the InLeo project, khal, I decided to give the project a chance and signed up for my InLeo premium subscription for the first time.

The visit
We were visiting some friends and the sun was already setting over the horizon. We decided to leave, but due to insistence we ended up staying for dinner. I don't like being outside my house on Sunday nights, but I reluctantly accepted.
Luckily, besides eating and talking, it wasn't a party. For this reason there were no drinks.
With the night dark, we continued our journey home, which was 8 km away.
The accident
After a short journey, in a completely urbanized area, we were following a main avenue, when I needed to reduce speed due to speed control equipment installed on the road.
A few meters ahead there was an intersection, where a motorcyclist was still standing on my right. Interestingly, he took off, invading the main avenue where I was driving the vehicle.
The motorcyclist took off and turned left, towards my vehicle. I tried to avoid it but it wasn't possible due to how close we were. He jumps over my car and lands on the road.
The concern
As soon as the accident occurred, I stopped the car on the road and got out, heading towards the motorcyclist, who I identified as a man. As he squirmed, I instructed him to remain still and not remove his helmet.
I called the emergency service myself, which in Brazil could be done by calling 190, the police service. The police requested the location and sent a patrol car and also contacted the health service.
Nowadays the procedure is slightly different as we must directly activate the mobile health service, called SAMU. He provides mobile emergency care.
The arrival of rescuers
As soon as they arrived, rescuers insisted that the motorcyclist lie down and immobilized his neck. A general inspection was carried out there and then but there were no indications for additional concerns.
The individual was taken to the hospital to check for a dislocated finger. The professionals insisted a lot on taking the injured person to the nearest health unit.
Today I went to find out what dislocation means, which is what the rescuers said:
Finger dislocations occur when the finger bones move out of their normal position. Most finger dislocations occur in the middle joint, usually when the finger is bent backwards. Usually the finger is obviously bent.
Rescuers immobilized the affected finger using splints. After he was sent to the hospital, I was no longer able to follow the care.
Days later I found out that everything went well and that there were no consequences.
Bureaucracy
I have a lot to thank for the serious work carried out by the team that helped me. I never knew their name, but the professionalism they demonstrated was my salvation. I will explain why.
After assistance, the police team allowed access to the road and my vehicle was handed over to the towing service. Everything ok, and everyone released.
As for the injured man, the responsibility fell to health rescuers, who took him to the hospital and was later released. In his care report, one of the nurses noted that the individual had "ethyl breath", which means that he had drunk alcohol.
The judgement
I tried to recover the damage caused to my vehicle, but there was no agreement, so I went to court, where we presented various evidence, photos of the accident, but even though there wasthe certainty of the error on the part of the motorcyclist, the judge was inclined not to carry out the action.
Thanks to the rescuer's report, the note that the individual was drunk was decisive for the legal action to be successful, and thus I received part of the cost of recovering my car.

A visita
Estávamos visitando algus amigos e o sol já estava se pondo no horizonte. Resolvemos ir em bora, porém por insistência acabamos ficando para o jantar. Não gosto de estar fora da minha casa nos domingos a noite, mas aceitei relutante.
Por sorte, além de comermos e conversamos, não era uma festa. Por este motivo não havia bebidas.
Já com a noite escura, seguimos viagem para casa, que estava a 8 km de distância.
O acidente
Após pouco tempo de percurso, em área totalmente urbanizada, seguiamos por uma avenida principal, quando precisei reduzir a velocidade devido a equipamento de controle de velocidade instalado na via.
Poucos metros adiante havia um cruzamento, onde à minha direita restava parado um motociclista. Curiosamente, ele arrancou, invadindo a avenida principal onde eu conduzia o veículo.
O motociclista arrancou e virou à esquerda, em direção do meu veículo. Tentei desviar porém não foi possível devido à proximidade que estávamos. Ele salta sobre o meu carro e cai no chão da estrada.
A preocupação
Tão logo ocorreu o acidente, parei o carro na estrada e desci, indo em direção ao motociclista, que identifiquei ser um homem. Enquanto ele se contorcia, orientei para que permanecesse imóvel e não removesse o capacete.
Eu mesmo acionei o serviço de emergência, que no Brasil poderia ser realizado através da ligação telefônica ao número 190, o serviço de polícia. A polícia solicitou a localização e enviou um carro patrulha e também acionou o serviço de saúde.
Hoje em dia o procedimento é levemente diferente pois devemos acionar diretamente o serviço de saúde móvel, chamado de SAMU. Ele realiza o atendimento móvel de urgência.
A chegada dos socorristas
Assim que chegaram, os socorristas insistiram para que o motociclista deitasse e imobilizaram seu pescoço. Uma inspeção geral foi realizada ali mesmo mas não havia indícios para preocupações adicionais.
O indivíduo foi levado ao hospital para verificação de uma luxação em um dos dedos. Os profissionais insistiram muito para levar o acidentado até a unidade de saúde mais próxima.
Hoje eu fui procurar saber o que significa luxação, que foi o que os socorristas falaram:
As luxações dos dedos ocorrem quando os ossos do dedo saem de sua posição normal. A maioria das luxações de dedos das mãos ocorre na articulação do meio, geralmente quando o dedo é dobrado para trás. Geralmente, o dedo está obviamente entortado.
Os socorristas realizaram uma imobilização do dedo atingido, usando talas. Depois que ele foi enviado ao hospital, não consegui mais acompanhar o atendimento.
Dias depois vim a saber que foi tudo bem e que não ficou qualquer sequela.
A burocracia
Eu tenho muito a agradecer pelo trabalho sério realizado pela equipe que me atendeu. Eu nunca soube o nome deles, porém o profissionalismo demonstrado foi minha salvação. Vou explicar por que.
Após o atendimento, a equipe policial liberou o acesso à via e o meu veículo foi entregue para o serviço de guincho. Tudo certo, e todos liberados.
Já quanto ao homem acidentado, a reponsabilidade coube aos socorristas da saúde, que o levaram até o hospital e depois foi liberado. Em seu relatório de atendimento, um dos enfermeiros anotou que o indivíduo estava com "hálito etílico", o que significa que havia ingerido bebida alcóolica.
O julgamento
Tentei cobrar os danos causados em meu veículo porém não houve acordo, de forma que acionei o tribunal da justiça, onde apresentamos diversas provas, fotos do acidente, mas mesmo havendo a certeza do erro por parte do motociclista, o juiz estava tendencioso a não executar a ação.
Graças ao relatório do socorrista, a anotação de que o indivíduo estava alcoolizado foi determinante para que a ação judicial fosse vitoriosa, e assim eu recebi parte do custo da recuperação do meu automóvel.

The good thing is that you're safe.
Quite an experience! Glad you weren't injured in the accident and were able to recoup some of the money towards fixing your car. People just shouldn't drive drunk, but I guess since he was drunk the dislocation may not have hurt quite as bad! lol
