Giving Away Two Games - Fallout 2 + Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel

in Hive Gaming2 months ago

Every now and then I get to claim some free games through my Twitch Prime subscription. Most of them are claimed directly to my Epic Games account but every now and then they are given out as codes that need to be claimed. It's rare that I end up playing these games myself so this time I decided to give them away instead. Better someone else gets to enjoy them.

The two games in question are:

Fallout 2

Game link: https://www.gog.com/en/game/fallout_2

Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel

Game link:https://www.gog.com/en/game/fallout_tactics

I don't know much about these games personally so I can't really say much more about them than what is already in the games descriptions through the links I put in above this. I've tried Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 in the past and found them to be incredibly boring games but I know these game get a lot of praise. The games seem to still sell for $7 at full price so at least this giveaway is a nice way to save some money.

I put GOG Galaxy links instead of Steam links seeing as that's where the games will have to be claimed. Keep that in mind when entering the giveaway that you'll have to create a GOG account if you don't have one already. A big win for GOG Galaxy is that when you buy or own games through their service you properly own the game fully DRM free. Meaning the game requires no online activation to be played and the game files can even be stored on a drive offline so that you can still play the games even if the service shuts down in the future.

To enter this giveaway...

...is very simple.

Show me your favorite gaming screenshot taken in the last year, tell me why you should win and which game you would like to win. All in the comments to this post. If you want both then please put them in a priority list. I will be drawing randomly from the people who fill these criteria. The first drawn will win their chosen game and I will then draw randomly until I draw someone who has chosen the other game.

Since Fallout 2 has to be claimed before the 10th of April I will be ending the giveaway sometime on the 8th of april. Winners will be tagged in the comments to this post and will have to contact me through Discord to get their codes.

Aright, I'll bite. Here's my favourite screenshot from Red Dead Redemption 2, taken in May 2023 (yes, I can prove it's mine).

Why should I win? "I was there, Gandalf. I was there, 27 years ago, when the public demo version of Fallout One was released. I was there in Scrapheap the day Crypts and Fools stood in the middle of the town and started shooting". So yeah, I've been a Fallout fan for most of my life, but somehow I've never managed to finish Fallout Tactics. Now, you can give me a chance to finally get the job done.

(not really interested in Fallout 2 since I bought a GOG copy just two days ago hehe)

JAJAJA excelente comentario, Nitsu te otorga su bendición para que te vaya bien

Fantastic comment. I hope you win, lol

Well no one else entered so you automatically win! Reach out on Discord through the Hive Gaming server and I'll get you your code.

Fallout games are sometimes not for everyone with the type of gameplay and the setting they are in.

Good luck to all and whoever wins will have some fun! I got these for free as part of subscription too but am yet to play them but they are meant to be good!

I think I rescued these games from Epic a while ago, but I haven't tried any, I think they gave away 3 fallouts of this style. I would like to see how they relate to Fallouts in first person. Just as I have a GOG account, I will claim them xD thanks for share!

If you have Twitch Prime then go grab them!

Thanks a lot for the advice. ;)

I'll just say that from my point of view and that of many fans of the Fallout saga, the second installment is the best of all in terms of narrative. Currently there are many mods for Fallout 2 and there is even a multiplayer Fallout based on the Fallout 2 engine. On the other hand, Fallout Tactics although not very popular, brings the command strategy to the Fallout world, something that was really cool at the time :)

If you're up for playing Fallout 2, I'll just tell you to be prepared for a very tough battle with a guy named Horrigan.... xD

Cheers.

That's good to know for the people who want to join the giveaway.

Nice man. Fallout 2 was such a great game.
