This is my first post in this community and I’ll be posting about different coffee variants that I am trying. Ever since I got into the specialty coffee scene, there are so many variants that I’ve tried. This is free space for you to geek out and talk about it all. I am also going to post my cafe hopping and reviews here. So, if you need a space to talk about the cafe you’re visiting including the architecture, the vibe, feel free to do so here. Afterall, this is the space where we all can map the coffee scene through our reviews.

I don’t know where it would lead but this is the new home to all of my brews and coffee recipes,tools, and all things coffee. If you’re tea lovers feel free to share your brew recipe and tools too. That’s enough intro of the community so, let me share something about this Ethiopian coffee that I come to enjoy.

I typically don’t like Ethiopian beans but this one hits the spot. Apparently this coffee comes from small producers in Ethiopia. It has classic wash and is processed with wet fermentation.

When it comes to taste, this one has that subtle fruitiness and tea-like taste. If you love drinking jasmine tea, it tastes like that. There’s also a peachy aftertaste that I could taste seconds after tasting them. The smell was so fragrant yet it wasn’t too overpowering. If you enjoy floral smelling coffee this is also for you.

I was honestly surprised by its taste as well as the smell. I wouldn’t have thought I’d enjoy this coffee variant but I did. This is on my list and something I’d get when I go back to Yogyakarta again. I’ve also talked about hayati quite a lot and they certainly never fail to amaze me with their specialty collection.

Interesting coffee. It looks like a light roast but could be medium. The info card doesn't mention this information, which I find interesting.

In that cafe, they have medium roast and it's not mentioned in every of their card unless the customer asks. They only have a few dark roasts option that I never try yet :D

I prefer medium because it balances flavour and caffeine content, but the latter might just be a myth :)

medium definitely balances the flavor, I prefer that too
