Garden Update - Day Four

in HiveGarden23 days ago

Hello Everyone,

Today we finally had some nicer weather in Upstate New York, so I performed a little more work on the fencing around the garden.

It's certainly not perfect but it feels like an improvement to me.

I think perhaps this was a crib at one point. I found a couple matching pieces like this one in the basement of the place I moved into recently and decided to utilize it for the fencing. It was comprised of some pretty hard wood actually and was surprisingly very well put together to the point of deciding to employ use of an axe taking it apart.

I fastened these pieces to the already staked pieces utilizing some wood screws I have and a drill. These aren't tall enough for the fencing after being driven into the ground, so this was my idea for increasing their height with the extra pieces.

I stapled the plastic fencing to these posts to secure it.

I might still end up doing a little more work to the garden fence. I have enough fence to add another layer but I'm not sure if it's really necessary. The posts could use a little straightening but doesn't seem all that necessary at the moment.

The plants look super happy to me and like they've been enjoying all of the rain we've been having. I'll need to get some other stuff in the ground here soon to fill up the entire space.

How is everything looking?

I still couldn't adapt to the non Mars environment 🤣

That's coming soon.. lol

Oh that crib still looks good and was turned into a garden fence. It is still useful.

Your plants grows well and it means you have a good weather there.

Thank you!

Yes parts of the crib that still remained were in pretty good condition, but not all of it was there. It served well for this use though.

We have pretty good seasons in New York for cultivating gardens. Weather, animals, and pests can stile present challenges at times as well.

Those tags are there to help you recognize what you have planted there right?

Yes, sometimes I forget if I'm not very familiar with a plant yet.
