Gardening system using plastic mulch

in HiveGarden7 months ago

Hi Hive Lovers

There are many challenges in the planting system of gardening. One of the biggest challenges in the planting system process is weeds that grow wild, which will absorb and consume more nutrients in the land that has been prepared as a planting medium for a plant.

One of my friends who works as a traditional farmer has tried a new technique for preparing planting media for plants in his garden, namely using plastic mulch to cover the planting media on the land he has prepared.

Plastic mulch is used to cover the entire planting medium for all plants by spreading it over the entire surface of the planting medium and making holes of a certain size and distance as needed.

You can see how the garden land he prepared is in the form of measured beds, which he covered with plastic mulch, which looks neatly lined up.

Before covering the planting medium in the form of elongated beds, the land for planting the plants is first processed by removing all the grass or grass seeds that will become plant-disturbing weeds, then applying various types of fertilizer and various plant nutrients to the planting area, which will make the soil more fertile. Then the last thing is to make a bed of the appropriate size for the plastic mulch.

By using plastic mulch, the fertilization system has to be done at the beginning before the planting medium is covered and before the plants are planted on the land, and when the plants are planted there, you only need to water and spray for pests if they attack the plants.

It turns out that using plastic mulch to cover planting land for plants has many benefits; it not only prevents the growth of wild grass or weeds but can also control the humidity and temperature of the planting medium and can also protect the planting bed from wasting nutrients. contained in the soil due to erosion due to rainwater and during the watering process.

Below, I share several photos showing how to use plastic mulch, which I took when I visited the garden of a friend of mine who works as a farmer.

As is generally known, in the plant planting system, if you cover the planting medium with plastic mulch or do not cover the planting medium with plastic mulch, it will make a lot of difference in the processing method, care method, and yield from the crop harvest.

This is the garden of my dreams. So tidy and neat.

It seems like there is a lot of land around you that can be used for planting, right?
Have you ever made it?

If I understand your question correctly, not yet. Because there are a lot of wild grasses and weeds to remove it will be bloody hard to do without the help of a machine.

This is a neat and tidy farm and the mulching looks good too.

Good workmanship will make it look good, and that's very good for the growing medium and the plant itself, right?

We're using it for years and it's a brilliant one as it saves you from a lot of work and prevents the water from evaporating so fast.

That's right, @erikah. It saves a lot of effort once the plants are finished being planted in their planting holes, and it is very good for maintaining and caring for them.
BTW, I have tried to open your old posts, but I haven't found your post about a similar planting system that has been used for years.
I am interested in comparing what is done at your place.
