April 22nd ➡️ April 29th, 2024This isn't the first or last time food has been featured as a topic for our weekly challenges, and it's not a first for street food either. But the beauty of Southeast Asia is the variety of cuisines and street foods, so there are still plenty of things you for you veteran community members to share as well as an opportunity for newcomers to participate in a challenge for the first time. Show me the local street foods from wherever you are in Southeast Asia, or if you're a Southeast Asian living abroad, feel free to show the street foods of wherever you're traveling or living.
Fried noodles, fried rice, salads, dumplings, sweets, almost anything you can imagine can be purchased on the roadside in this part of the world. Here in Cambodia grilled eggs are a pretty big deal, often sold from a motorbike with a sidecar grill full of piping hot charcoal. I am curious to see what street foods you all have to share, and remember to share things like the names, ingredients, price, and any other information you feel is relevant.

Hello aseanhivers! I guess everyone of us felt the wwrath of the blazing heat outside that those who have the time tend to escape to some cooler location to freshen up. Well, that depends on your capacity, on how deep your pocket is, right? Anyways, before planning for a getaway, there lots of things to be considered yet especially when you have pets and no one can take care of them.

Summer is the time of year to embrace life to the fullest. More hours of daylight and more sunshine boost our spirits, serotonin, and vitamin D levels. Who could desire more? We are still anxiously awaiting the rainy season, but until then there are 12 motorbikes that ride by on the highway every morning with loudspeakers. Although they don't make any of the snacks themselves, they purchase them from nearest town and upsell them a bit to folks like us who live in the middle of nowhere.

Haha, my cheeky hubby smiled while I read to him your comment @justinparke. I always involve him in my posts so he can appreciate what I am doing which is sometimes annoying to him, like taking photos of just about anything, everything, wherever we are and whenever I can. At times he is annoyed already! Hahaha, specially when we are in a hurry and he thought I am just behind him then founds out I am miles a ways from him taking photos.... Hahaha. You will see the look in his face! I love to tease him because at times he is grumpy, stiff always running after time. When he is like that i tend to remind him to you know chill out a bit, enjoy what's around you. Lighten up! Loosen up!😄🤭😍
